Stepping out into the word as your female self can be incredibly empowering. It’s powerful validation for crossdressers and transgender women alike.
In this blog post, I want to dive into this topic and hear about your own experiences. How often do you present yourself as a woman in public?
Do you live as a woman full time? Do you crossdress regularly or on occasion? Or is the answer, sadly, “never”?
Please take my transgender / crossdressing survey and share your thoughts in the comments below!

I dress femme at home pretty much all the time now, and I’ve started going out to the store or other activities femme most times if I leave from home.
I’m not out at work, YET. I’m working up to that. It would make my life so much simpler if I didn’t have to maintain two separate wardrobes.
I actually went to an interview for a part time job last weekend dressed. It was such a thrill.
I am so grateful to live in a community where it’s pretty much live and let live and I go out practically daily en femme. To my enjoyment I’ve occasionally received appreciative comments from women – absolute strangers – on my look.
That said, I’ve reached a place where “passing” is no longer a priority for me and I have no desire for surgery or hormones to alter my appearance. Frankly I’m just thankful to have made it this far – I’m 66 – reasonably intact and in good health.
I do sometimes go out in drab (dressed as a boy) when dealing with auto repair, hardware store purchases, etc., as – unfortunately – men get more respect and better treatment in these situations.
As I’m now retired, I am pretty much live 24/7 now in feminine attire at home and when I am out and about. I’m 72 now and don’t seem to have any issues in blending in with people when en femme. I am always treated like a lady. Here is a photo of me in just a normal outfit I was wearing when I go out for the day. What do you think?
You look extremely passable Suzy and very young for your age. You go girl!
Suzy…That’s abeautiful dress and one that I would wear. When I first went out in publicI would wear shorts or jeans a lot but now I love dresses and wear them quite often. That style of dress is perfect because it hides your figure a bit if that;s what you were going for. A dress always says “I am a woman”
Suzy, you SHOULD be treated as a lady, you definitely look to be one – and a rather young one too for being 72! You go, girl! I am quite passable at 67, and have been told I look no more than 50, and I think you look much younger, more feminine, and prettier than me.
Suzy …I am pretty much like you, but I am “only” 69. HaHa. I have been living my life as a woman for the last 4 years and no longer have any qualms about going out in public. It’s just natural for me and I don’t even think twice about it. It’s a great life!
Hi Dana -yes, we sound pretty much alike! I too really enjoy being a woman and living my full time as the person I was supposed to be. I have to admit, I also like the looks and complements I get from men now as well! So much fun. Here I am getting ready to go out to dinner with some friends. Do you like this dress?
Suzy, you look great. I hope one day I can look that good and feel confident enought to go out dressed. It will happen.
Congratulations.
Lookin’ good, girl! I’m 77 and am so fortunate to have an understanding and encouraging wife. I almost wear at least panties and often full en femme at home. I go out en femme to outdoor concerts and am fortunate to be able to blend in.
You look great for 72
Just wanted to say that you are a very lovely beautiful woman….
You look great! I would have guessed 42… 🙂
Terri

#2 “I don’t really see what the point of having a retweet party saying women don’t have penises is meant to accomplish other than to upset transgender women. I see nothing wrong with saying a true thing repeatedly on twitter or elsewhere, especially if it is a rebuttal to an untrue thing being said.
