A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.

While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.

payless shoes, they have knockoffs but you can try them on, or take them home. they have a no questions asked return policy, so you can take them back for any reason, even after you wear them!
I have always had lots of luck at Zappos and Shoes of Your Dreams. At my height I tend to go for Flats and Tennis shoes but they have all styles and sizes for us larger gurls.
I love to shop for shoes at DSW,Off Broadway and some department stores.I wear size 9B for pumps and heels and 9.5B for sneakers or athletic shoes.
The problem I have in finding shoes is that it is very hard to find half sizes in anything above size 10. It is VERY frustrating to find a cute pair of shoes and then discover that they are not available in larger sizes!
I still looking on all the internet shop.
Actually just bought some pretty Red Suede pump on ebay …

For me, it is Shoesissima. Very versatile for wearing with a wide range of outfits to suit various occasions.

This was very helpful. I have struggled to find a properly fitting shoe. I have had most success with a size 10 1/2 or a 10 W. These sizes are very hard to find in attractive styles. I will look at the suggested suppliers and hope they can fit me. Thank you for this information.
I am a men’s size 8 – 8.5 with two different size feet, so I can wear open-toed sandals down to women’s 8.5 and pumps at 9.5. I’ve gotten great-looking shoes on sale from Piperlime, but they can be more expensive for others and they don’t have larger sizes. I often end up with my wife’s shoes that she thinks have gone to charity as she is a 10N.
