A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.

Need WW high heels. It seems all adds are for Medium’s. Are these shoes made with spandex that is going to stretch to a WW? I know I’m not the only “gurl” here in Skirtland that needs WW. I’m open to suggestions and directions.

I am 100% in agreement with you Vickie Stone. Gurls, don’t wait till you “over the hill ” to start wearing HHs. I’m 71 now and am blessed that I can still wear 4 + inch heels but for how much longer? we’ll see.
If I may add a suggestion on your tab Vickie, When planning on a weekend in heels, it would behoove one to wear the shoes for 20 min. on Monday, 30 min on Wed. and an hour on Friday. Come Sat evening,,,? Feet will be the last thing on your mind.

I have found shoes at a seller on e-bay called ‘thesoulofseduction’. Large length, wide width, good styles, reasonable prices.

Having small (Size 7 1/2 Womens), extra WIDE feet it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find shoes that will fit properly. I can not afford “custom made” shoes, and the best I can find are only for 1″ (One Inch) heels that are around $100.00 at a “specialty” shop in my area. I live in Massachusetts and there are not many places close to me that carry extra-wide shoes. Hope this helps for those of us who have small, wide feet. Oh, and by the way,do NOT do “online shopping” because people in my apartment complex STEAL packages that do not belong to them.
Try finding a 16 wide. The Chinese sellers on Ebay send a 16 that is more like a 13 or 14.
I have found my size shoe’s at shoe source for right price an if have enough money can buy two pair’s for price of one>zena
I find it easy to switch from male shoe’s to women’s shoe’s since already wearing em my issue is haven’t tried wearing or walking in high heels or boot’s with high heel on them yet is it same as walking with reg shoe’s on or not)zena
No it is not the same and requires practice and building up the muscles in the ankle. You start with a 1 inch heel and when you have mastered that go to a 2 inch and then a 3 inch until you think you can handle a 4 inch assuming you can get one in your size. For males many womens shoes do not provide enough stability because even “wide” shoes may not be wide enough and you find difficulty getting your lateral balance. I did, and still do. However, that being said, I used to go all night in 4 inch heels when I was in my 20’s and 30’s. Because I was single I could go out a lot and stay out in NYC till all hours. My point is I was able to handle high heels because I was in them all the time. As I got older and had my share of serious injuries including the spine and lost the neurological function called the “ankle jerk” I could no longer handle very high heels and gradually cut back. I am now almost 70 and at most will wear a 1.5 inch heel and even have difficulty with that. If you are young now is the time to master high heels. Don’t squander the opportunity. They are so much fun. Trust me you’ll find yourself approaching 70 in the blink of an eye. It is so much easier to be a cross dresser today, take advantage of it.
