A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.

FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!

I’m kind of lucky when it comes to women’s footwear. I can wear a size 10 for the most part. Some brands to fit a little different then others but each brands make there shoes differently. I normally get shoes from Payless but I can get shoes from most any store I find a good looking shoe.
how about extra large calf sizes. can you help find boots with an extra large calf size.
Have you looked at Lane Bryant. I’ve seen a lot of boots there with wide calf sizes.
Good Luck

Hi Lucile,
Getting larger women’s shoes here in the UK. I’ve found difficult especially if you want something stylish & even sexy.
Two shops that I have bought shoes from are Long Tall Sally and SimplyBe and have been pleased with them.

ladies there are many places to go for shoes; you just have to look at many sites to see which works for you. I have had great luck with 6P.M. Woman-within, Jessica London. I hope this does help out some and I do wear a size 12 m so I have a time finding a nice fitting shoe that is comfortable, and ladies that is the main goal is to find a pair that is comfortable to wear for a long period. I would also suggest a good pair of shoe stretcher’s.
Love, love, love shoe and boots. I shop mostly at Nordstrom rack and sometimes find decent buys. I am a size 12 so options are limited. Occasionally I find good deals on sale at Saks Off 5Th Or Niemans outlet. Both are pricey, but you get the real deal
I’m lucky, I wear a size 8 womens. Unlucky in that I have always had a thing for shoes. Really love the bad girl shoes from the fifty’s. The SpringOlators and Polly of California vintage stuff. I really like just fab shoes and they are true to size and offered in larger sizes as well. I’ve been collecting all my life and have 600+ pairs….
I do most of my shoe shopping online. DSW, 6pm, Amazon for the most part. I’m a size 11 women’s, so all I can say is thank heavens for Paris Hilton and her size 11’s. Can’t find everything, but the selection in size 11 has really widened over the past decade.
I am a 10W, 10 1/2 W with socks. I use Zappos. Free shipping, and also returns if they don’t fit or you don’t like them.
