A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.
FSJ Shoes
FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!
Zappos
Being the largest online shoe shop, it should come as no surprise that Zappos offers a wide range of shoes for women with big feet. Zappos also has a generous one-year return policy that includes free return shipping.
Amazon
Amazon has a surprising large selection of women’s shoes up to size 16, including pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and more. As an added bonus, many items are eligible for Prime delivery and free returns.
Payless
Who doesn’t love a good deal? While Payless only offers women’s shoes up to a size 13, they are a great option for affordable footwear if your feet are on the smaller side.
Ebay
Let’s not forget about good old eBay! Ebay has a huge selection of transgender and crossdressing shoes at some incredible bargains. The best part is that you can search for women’s shoes up to a size 19!

I’m fortunate that I wear a women’s size 10, so I can shop for shoes anywhere. However, I have found some really nice shoes with very nice prices at The Rack at Nordstrom. They have sizes up to 13. They also have a great selection of clothing at discounted prices. And yep, for just goof around shoes, Payless can be a good option also. Here I am about a week ago at the Rack at Nordstrom. Fun place.
Suzy,
You’ve never looked sexier here. I love you in that dress. You should dress more provocative (yet classy)like that more often. You’re so gorgeous.

AmberLinn
Thanks so much AmberLinn! I really appreciate your complements! I try! I love being a woman and in a tasteful way hopefully! Here I am the other day during this crazy pandemic! Hope your doing fine! Hugs, Suzy
I love to shop at Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) with many styles in a wide selection of sizes are available and you can try on shoes without a store employee to ask if they have a style in your size.
I get my shoes at DSW and Nordstroms who carry larger sizes although the selections are slim it’s not a bad place to go. And I get better choices on some online stores as well.
Thanks, Lucille for such another informative blog.

Beautiful photo
I have had great luck with shoes from Torrid both online and in store. What’s great is they carry both a normal and true wide width shoe. Just have to try them on as I wear a ladies size 12W, for most of their shoes but sometimes I have had to get a smaller size as it all depends on type of shoe. They stock all sorts of really cute and quality shoes and boots.
Enjoy shopping
Ashley, Yes Torrid has great shoes and boots I get mine from there also. As I have gotten boots from Macy’s, Womenwithin and
Romans. I, wear a size 12 wide and there hard to find except foir a couple of them. Good Luck in the future.
Hugs,
Stacey
Thank you so much for this Lucille. I’ve been buying shoes for years and often suffering. My feet are no longer what they were so the right shoe has become a big thing with me. I have shopped Payless for years and they are OK. The sites you have listed look like much better quality and the sale portions are very enticing. Can’t wait to try them out. BTW, love your name.
I’m lucky in that my showiness is only a 9. But I disagree with the conversion method, at least for me personally. I wear a size 9 in men’s and women’s shoes. I see too many cis women and gurls wearing shoes that are too big for them. If it falls off when you walk it’s too big. I love my high heels(the higher the better) but they must be comfortable and fit snugly. Justfab.com is a great site for stylish and affordable shoes and boots also. Most are only $39.95 to $59.95 and they are great quality.
Shoe size. Not showiness. Crazy auto correct
i wear a size 14 men’s so i need 15 1/2 or 16 looking for a stylish wide calf boot
that are not drag queen boots are impossible to find
can anyone help
thanks

I find most of my footwear, be it flats, sandals, open toe heels and the local Wal-Mart here in town, and they usually have a wide selection in sizes that I can sit, and try on comfortably. If I know I am going to go show shopping, I will wear my knee highs or pantyhose underneath my socks and remove the sock when I try on the footwear.
