A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.

While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.

If you’re confident in your size, I’m a size 10 in most flats, boots, and sandals, sometimes an 11 in a really high heel MACY’s and even JCP have sales, and nice clearance items.
I’m lucky in this department. Size 39 European- I think that’s between 6 and 7 US. I’m fulltime now- never going back to being male. One thing that went right for me in puberty was that my body never masculinized – I still have the long fiber slender muscularity of a child or a woman and my family is blessed with small feet.
Fortunately, being born with delicate small feet, they fit my girlfriend’s shoes. I have tens to play with.
I’ve found Torrid to be a great site for ankle booties and riding boots especially. I’m a size 13 which is as large as they carry.
Hi Ladies! I love The Rack at Nordstrom’s! They have sizes up to 13 and beyond with great styles and prices! I wear a size 10 women’s shoe, so never a problem. Here I am a couple of months ago there trying on some heels! Very friendly staff as well! I’m 74 and am always treated as a lady there! Hugs, Suzy
For me its very easy to find all kinds of woman shoes. I wear size 37 woman; about 6 or 6.5 US. A lot o woman use size 36 or 37. No problem finding or shoping.
Love This
I wear an 11 wide, and am in the US. I used to go to the brick-and-mortar Payless where I could easily find a few styles in my size. The online store is difficult to navigate if your size falls out of the mainstream like us. The online side of DSW is very easy to navigate, and has quite a bit In the slightly larger sizes. Nordstrom also has the larger sizes.
Try AshleyStewart.com, when they say wide they mean wide, have at least 12 pr from the site, usually wear 11WW but their W alone are great for me, good selection and prices, especially on clearance, shoes, boots and clothing.
