Expressing your feminine side is about much more than just clothes and makeup. After all, women are a little more complex than that!
That’s why I wanted to go beyond the obvious and explore some unexpected strategies to help you enhance your feminine expression.
In this blog post for crossdressers and transgender women, I share 3 unexpected ways to be more feminine. Read on to learn more!
1. Buy a New Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine. While it’s great to have a signature scent, sometimes it helps to switch things up and discover new perfumes to bring out your inner woman.
Here are some suggestions to match your desired vibe:
- Floral scents: Embrace your soft, romantic side with the allure of flowers.
- Fresh or fruity scents: Boost your confidence and energy levels with invigorating notes.
- Woody or oriental scents: Unleash your inner seductress with warm, captivating fragrances.

2. Be More Polite
Did you know that politeness plays a significant role in enhancing your feminine image?
Countless studies have shown that women tend to excel in the realm of manners, and adopting these social graces can truly elevate your femininity.
Here are three suggestions to keep in mind:
- Embrace the power of “please” and “thank you” – These little words hold huge power in conveying respect and gratitude. Remember to use them often in your daily interactions.
- Soften your language – For example, instead of bluntly saying “I can’t hear you,” opt for a more gentle approach like, “I’m sorry, I can’t quite hear you.” This subtle shift demonstrates empathy and consideration.
- Mind your online presence – Politeness shouldn’t be limited to face-to-face encounters. It’s equally important to be polite when texting, emailing, or engaging in online discussions.
3. Loosen Up
If you’re looking for an instant way to enhance your feminine image, here’s a simple secret: loosen up! This applies to both your body and your mind, and it can work wonders in unleashing your true feminine grace.
First, let’s focus on loosening up your body:
Women naturally possess a graceful, limber quality. If your body feels tense and tight, it can manifest in stiff, jerky movements that lack femininity. Here’s how you can loosen up:
- Consciously relax your body, especially your jaw and shoulders.
- Stretch your muscles on a daily basis.
- Take lots of deep, relaxing breaths.
These simple body-loosening techniques can do more to feminize your movements than all the hip shaking in the world!
Now, let’s shift our focus to loosening up your mind:
The happiest crossdressers and transgender women I know don’t get hung up on “passing” or trying to please everybody. Instead, they embrace who they are while constantly striving to improve themselves.
Life is short, so above all, relax and enjoy the journey!

How i make myself look more feminine
A year ago I was a depressed, arthritic, overweight and anxiety ridden man. But then I came out as a Transgender woman.
After losing around 6 stone (38 kilos) through diet and exercise, the one thing that I am focusing upon is flexibility.
Years ago I could not even walk up the street without using crutches. Now I can touch my toes and am a hair’s throw from sitting in the lotus position.
Yoga is incredibly important in my journey towards flexibility. I have a 20 min workout that I do every morning from the moment that I wake up (hint… I’m halfway through the workout before I’ve realized I’ve woken up!)
Flexibility is such an important goal in my transition. And it feels amazing!
Painted toes, panties, bra, as well as women’s jeans/pants, pajamas (w/nightie underneath), socks & shoes are daily wear. I also use women’s soap, body wash, and deodorant.
While this is all nice I really get in touch with my femininity when my wife is gone and I slip into heels, lingerie and a dress, do what I can with my hair and makeup and a spritz of perfume.
I feel especially feminine when I can also slip outside to walk the dog (in the dark), go for a drive or even to just sit outside on the back deck enjoying a nice morning and a cup of coffee.
To help extend my outdoor activities here in North Dakota I’ve purchased a coat, jacket, gloves, winter scarfs and fleece lined tights.
I’ve also purchased a few purses I plan to use on my next outing and I hope my first wig will be here next week.
Love and happiness to all!
I like to paint my nails, even if it’s clear for going out (my masculine side). I also wear my flats around the house with my fav pair of yoga pants. When I have the time, I like to play dress up and try on all my different dresses and shoes. Especially my shoes! I believe I have about 75 pairs of shoes . When I’m relaxing, and in a beautiful dress, I imagine being on a date with a beautiful woman, and I’m being treated like a queen or a goddess.
That’s how I feel more feminine.
I wear a nightgown in the evening and morning (I sleep in the buff). I also move gracefully, bending down at the knees instead of the waste, elbows close the the body, pinkies out, etc. Sometimes I wear platform shoes around the house just because I feel like it.
Hey there sister, I do the same thing. I wear sheer full body suits, see through night gowns and the sexiest lingerie and can not go without the platform heels, stilettos and the wedges. But you look fabulous sister. Keep flaunting your stuff sister.
Nice pretty legs & nice hose (pantyhose). Looking great, don’t forget to polish your toes make your toes look so good. I like wearing toe rings (2) on each foot, they make my toes stand out, look good with nylons. Feel femme.

VERY SEXY!
I try to always smile and treat others nice and friendly, even if they are rude or abrupt! It’s sometimes very difficult but I try and keep my composure. A smile goes a long way. I also try to say please and thank you to others!
Ahhh to sleep, perhaps to dream…. I remember very few of my dreams. Those that I do are mostly a scene of conflict. Sometimes between my 2 selves, and often between my feminine self and people that I know, or knew, who would not approve. Is there a way? Either resolve some inner conflict, or accept that dreams are non- gender oriented. Spiritually, you are a person, not a gender specific being.
Hi all,
Quick question, Does anyone know a way of encouraging our capacity to dream as our feminine self. Everyone in awhile, I am fully a woman in my dreams and it is delicious and I was wondering if there was a way to stimulate more of it.
xoxo,
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
I saw your post a few weeks ago. I wish I knew the answer. I finally had one of those great dreams last night. It was lovely. I was at the gym with a ciswoman who I know. Once we we finished and were changing she complemented me on how great I loved and she loved my bra. I woke up in a bliss. I only wish these dreams were every night.
xoxo and love

Hi Sarah,
Posted my comment in the wrong spot. It went to the general comments. Just wanted to thank you for sharing dream with me.

Hi Irene,
Thanks so much for your comments. Great dream. I dreamt that I was standing in my kitchen with my adult son and my wife and the only surprising element was that i was a complete woman dressed only in a man’s shirt and just my panties.
Neither my wife or my son seemed to notice my lack of bottom attire. Go figure. I loved it.
🙂

Hi Sarah, I wish I know. I had had my first such dream last night of all things. I am in a very busy work period now an I dreamed last night that I was at a client’s office wearing a dressed and totally femmed. Some day…..
Hi Sarah – all I know is when I go to bed in my lingerie, my dreams are all about my life as a woman! Always good! Hugs, Suzy
Hi Suzy,
I had a great dream last night as a woman. As Sarah says these dreams are delicious. Like Sarah, I need them to come more often. I will take your advice and wear lingerie at night. I have also started reading feminization articles and looking at fashion before bed. I think these steps will help. Thanks for the advice.
xoxo & love,
Irene
