Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

At 70 I pretty much own the world I live in. At a much younger age when I decided to get a full make over while at the cosmetic counter in the Mall, and for all the world to watch, never was I going back to shadows. From there I went to the tax office to pay my Federals, then the State to pay some more taxes.
Ladies, put yourself together in proper fashion, conduct yourself and you will discover as I did, the safety and security of being out in broad day light. Kick-up your heels
I have a wonderfully accepting wife so I am not limited in any way. She is often wanting me to go out with her shopping or whatever. I am a doctor and have gone to medical meetings and courses enfemme. I have joined CD/Trans groups in other cities and have gotten together and met friends as I tranvel. My wife and I have vacationed with me totally enfemme the entire time. I live in a small town and about the only place I do not go fully enfemme is there. But I wear woman’s clothing , don’t own much mens, and will be going to my 50 year high school reunion this year enfemme. If I can do it, anyone can do it. We have met the enemy, and he is US!

Have been trans for years and would love to come out totally. have all the common reasons most MTF people give for not doing so. What I am able to do is dress fem when walking every morning. Moderate makeup, panties and bra, Reebok casuals with girls socks, fem shorts or jeggings, and of course a cute top. My natural hair is dark and thick and I have a medium cut that is unisex. Would love to have a friend (F or M) to walk or visit with. So lonely and tired of hiding. Love to all my sisters out there. Jamie

You gotta love those Vietnam ladies at the nail salon . Not judgemental …ooh your toes look so pretty!
Hi Lucille- I am out and about everywhere as a female! Last spring and summer I worked for Home Depot as a woman with no problems. This summer I am going to move to Fla and continue to live my life as I want it to be. Thanks for all of the tips that you have posted, many of them are VERY relevant. Again thanks, Susan
Lucky enough, I have an AMAZING older sister that has been my best friend through out my journey. After all is was her that made me dress up for the first time when I was little because she wanted a little sister not a little brother. So when I have dress up time it’s either at my house alone or at her house when her husband is away….which thankfully is almost every other weekend!!!
Well,
Been working on the courage to tell my close friends and relatives and work on feeling more comfortable with my gender fluidity. With my job, I sort of have to maintain a certain amount of male personae. I work with children in a mental health facility, so stepping out en femme is almost impossible for me. This job has changed y life in many ways, just hoping it doesn’t end because of a chance to truly be me..
I am still very “in the closet” when it comes to dressing and going out. Recently, I was at lunch with a friend and sitting near the window. We then saw a group of CD’s walk by and a few people in the restaurant started laughing. I was not dressed at the time and it really disturbed me. After that experience, it made me fearful of going out dressed in public. I am still working up the courage to go out, but it has been mostly at home or at night at a t-girl party or on a private date with man at his place. I just wish people were not so mean.
Gia, I suspect the laughter you heard was to cover up feelings of discomfort at the presence of crossdressers coming too close to home for some of those people.

Gia , I, understand but you beautiful and you should have not problem in public. I, have been dressing for yrs and have only recently started going out at night and dress at night or for one special man . One day I will venture out and be the real women I want to be. Even at the age of 70 .

I agree with everything. I’ve even been bothered in a Gay bar. Go figure.
