Are you excited to embrace your fabulous female self? Having the right tools is key!
While some transgender / crossdressing supplies are obvious, there are important items you might not have considered that can help you look and feel your best as a woman.
In this blog post, I share 10 must-have essentials for your male to female transformation journey.
1. Breast Forms
Breasts are arguably the most feminine part of a woman’s body.
If you don’t possess your own natural curves, then investing in a pair of breast forms is a must for any crossdresser or transgender woman. (Of course, you’ll also need a cute bra to put them in!)
2. Color Corrector
Dealing with a visible beard shadow can be a major challenge in putting your best face forward.
Although it may be tempting to camouflage it with thick concealer, the result never appears natural.
Instead, invest in a pink or red color corrector to help neutralize the tone of your beard shadow. This enables you to use less makeup and achieve a more natural and feminine appearance.
(Note: Check out The Makeup Magic Program for expert tips on concealing a beard shadow, using makeup to feminize your face, and so much more!)
3. Body Shaper
A body shaper is a versatile garment that offers multiple benefits, including waist trimming, belly flattening, and overall shape smoothing.
Body shapers come in a variety of styles. Opt for a brief style to wear under shorter skirts and a thigh-length style for pants and longer skirts.
To feminize your lower body, look for a body shaper with hip and butt padding to create the illusion of curves.
4. Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine!
The secret is to choose a fragrance that matches the qualities you want to express. Here are some simple guidelines:
- Go for floral scents if you want to express your romantic side.
- Choose oriental or woody scents if you want to bring out your inner seductress.

5. Black Pantyhose Or Tights
While bare legs may be fashionable, there’s nothing quite like the sophisticated appeal of hosiery. Classic black pantyhose or tights, in particular, are a style must-have.
When opting for pantyhose, choose the sheerest hose available and stick to jet black. Avoid shades like gray-black or brown-black.
Alternatively, you can go for opaque tights for a more casual and youthful look.
6. Lipstick
Studies show that a woman’s lips are considered the most attractive part of her body, particularly when accentuated with lipstick.
It goes without saying that lipstick is an essential item that will instantly make you look more feminine and attractive.
7. Classic Pumps
Shoes say more about you than any other accessory. When it comes to making a statement, you can’t go wrong with a timeless pair of black pumps.
Classic black pumps exude sexiness, femininity, and work well with many types of clothes.
8. Moisturizer
Due to higher testosterone levels, males tend to have rougher skin compared to women.
That’s why it’s essential to incorporate a daily facial moisturizer into your routine, whether you’re presenting as your feminine self or not.
By using moisturizer regularly, you can achieve smoother-looking skin and enhance the application and longevity of your makeup.
9. Little Black Dress
The little black dress is a wardrobe staple every crossdresser and transgender woman should own. A simple black dress in a flattering length can go from day to night and will never go out of style.
10. Attitude
Lastly, the key to it all is your attitude – and it’s absolutely crucial!
The way people treat you often reflects how you expect to be treated. So, embrace your femininity and radiate fabulousness with confidence. You deserve nothing less, girlfriend!

Mine has to be black, opaque, lace top hold-ups.
Thanks!, I already have that.
The truth in all of you is so inspirational to me. You all are truly beautiful by finding that eternal happiness from within.
I’m 27, 28 Saturday, and I’m about to begin my transitions hopefully in the upcoming months. I have so many fears (mostly the obnoxious one that I’ll be ugly), but it’s refreshing to see the confidence from you all.
I didn’t read all comments but one concern I’m weary off as being labeled as a shemale/tranny/etc. I am very not for the women that do it for mere fetish. I want to do all like us respectable and also be respected.
Any comments or advice would be great! And I sound like such a newb. I hope I didn’t offend or sound too ignorant.

I haven’t begun transitioning yet so I can’t give you any examples from personal experience but I do plan on transitioning soon and I have been studying the female form to this end for a good long while now so here is some practical advice to help you along.
1. Try not to emulate covermodels or movie starlets instead choose real women who have your same height and similar build.
2. Pick out clothing that is more gender neutral at first. This will attract less attention to the masculine traits that you can’t hide yet.
3. Add feminine mannerisms, clothing, makeup, accessories a little at a time and always pick out the most subdued one first, gradually building on that.
4. Find supportive people to encourage you along the way.
Best wishes!
Just be strong and surrond your self with people that love and care for the real you and if some one refers to you that way educate them there is no reason to alow ignorance ruin you self power and if it is some close to you and they dont want to accept you for who you are then this is the hard part cut them loose that kind of negativity will just bring you down and put you in a depresive spiril and its hard to pull of that
If a man wears 2xl boxers, what size women’s panties will he fit. Thx
Womens undergarments are measured differently then those for men. You have to measure your abdomen (waist), right below your belly button and your hips at the widest point. These two measurements will translate to your correct size. The packaging for your underwear will most likely tell you if it is 1x, 2x, etc. You can choose one size smaller for a tighter fit.
Best wishes!
Loved the article, great essentials.
I will share this article to those who are interested in feminization.
Thanks
Hi Lucille,
I so love your website. It’s very informative and full of resources.
I started playing with my feminine side when I was 12 but didn’t make a concentrated effort until I was 24. I have everything in the your list of basics except for a foundation girdle. I bought one years ago but I find them too binding.
Like so many other girls out there, the vast majority of my wardrobe belongs to angela including 25 pairs of of shoes and only 3 pair for my male side which I’m gradually leaving behind.
LBD, first thing I got. After 6 weeks, still experimenting, having great fun, trying different looks. OMG, I have fab legs! Love a micro mini but wouldn’t wear in public – rather too old for that. I have always moisturised and I must say for someone approaching 60 I am looking and feeling good. Love my (fake) snakeskin shoes and yes even a kitten heel makes the tush better. Experimented with various control briefs etc and have a panti girdle on order. Have a padded brief for bum (butt) and hips and it is amazing what a difference that ever so slight curve to the hips makes. Peplum dresses are something an evolving girl should try. Just got a fab floral pencil skirt and bralet, love it, not taken any pix yet. To the list I would also add patience. A lot of things have to be planned and worked on and they take time. I am now looking for CD frienfly women to have meals with, go on days out etc. I am just loving it.
You look so cute in your 3rd pic, Riyah!
Hello Riyah,
I think you look fabulous in all of your pictures! You have great legs and a very sexy body! 🙂
Wish I looked half as good as you do!
Hugs n Kisses,
Marcy
Love your article. Didn’t think of the panty girdle, I must get one. I am thrilled that I generally wear a black dress and black pantyhose, like you suggested. I even have black net pantyhose. I love wearing black, even my bras are black. Looks good with my red hair too. Amber
