Lucille,
What a wonderful collection of empowering videos you have put together for us Girls. Thank you for such a thoughtful act. Wishing for you a happy and safe holiday season.

I so think it worth putting P!nk’s “F**kin’ Perfect” in the list too. It isn’t about gender or anything at all, and not even feminine, but I find that I need that reminder every now and then. I usually also like to follow that with “Edge of Glory”.
girls,
as with all of us “whatever” floats your boat “whatever” you go girls!!!!!!!
I enjoyed the music clips. I personally like a lot of what Lady GAGA has done. Some of it is a bit edgy but so what. I am a bi lady who happens to be married to a wonderful natural born bi woman and she likes the music too that you posted as well as Lady GAGA. Another performer might be Mellisa Etheridge, she has a large lesbian following for a reason! The music speaks to women and empowers them. Loved your choices that you put out. Thanks for all your great tips.
yes music does something to the soul for me its country music their are a lot of women country stars out there that really do it for me. like barbra mandrell. oops i better stop im giving away my age

I’m an Anime fan and a lot of English music does not interest me. I guess the closest GIRLY POWER SONGS I listen to are songs from Magical Girl Anime series like Precure. I’ll check these songs to see if any appeal to me.
u_u Gurl! that’s my way: music. I not only add songs “talkin’ & talkin’ ’bout being girly” But also those sung by girls who’ve become icons of femme, and that have a really good mood. I’ll give you some:
Super Super Love – Joss Stone
California Gurls – Katy Perry (and most of hers! e.g. Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl; after all… I still feel passion for my wife!)
Murder On The Dance Floor – Sophie Ellis Bextor
Lovefool, My Favourite Game – The Cardigans
Bootylicious, Survivor – Destiny’s Child
Don’e Stop The Music – Rihanna
This Is How It Works – TLC
Piece Of My Heart – Janis Joplin
And some in Spanish:
Gloria Trevi – Pruébamelo
Rosa Pastel – Belanova
Celos – Fanny Lu
El Sol No Regresa – La 5a Estación
etc. etc. etc…
BTW, Ru Paul’s song is not girly. It’s tranny; 100%.
Sorry if the observation is to spikey, but it’s true. Actually, Shewolf by shakira is quite on the edge. I love her, and I believe that must be one of her most popular themes, but unfortunately one of the most shallow and tranny-like.
Why not go with “Underneath Your Clothes” or “Whenever, Wherever”??
Respect ;D
