Did you know that the colors you choose to wear have a huge impact on how others perceive you – especially when presenting as a woman?
Colors convey subtle messages that can influence whether you appear more feminine or masculine.
So, if your goal is to look more feminine as a crossdresser or transgender woman, paying attention to the colors of your clothes and accessories is essential!
In this blog post on trans / crossdressing transformation tips, I share the meanings of 12 different colors and what they project about your female self.
White
White is associated with purity and innocence, which is why it’s traditionally worn by brides. Wear white if you want to look pure, pristine, and impeccable.
Blue
Light blue sends messages of peace, trust, and understanding. Dark blue is associated with authority and masculinity (think police uniforms), so use this color sparingly.
The best shades of blue for crossdressers and transgender women are light blue and baby blue.
Pink
Pink is the color of love and romance. No surprisingly, it’s also the most feminine color, so you may want to incorporate plenty of pink into your wardrobe.
Red
Red is the most intense color of all and is associated with passion, desire, love, and sexuality. Wear red if you want to be noticed.
Black
Black is associated with power, elegance, and formality. Wear black when you want to look sophisticated and mysterious.
Purple
Purple communicates mystery, magic, and creativity. This is a great color to wear if you want to add a touch of fantasy to your look.
Green
Light green symbolizes freshness and youthfulness, while dark green is associated with money and ambition. Wear a gorgeous shade of green to add a fresh, feminine vibe to your look.
Yellow
Yellow is the color of joy and energy. Wear yellow to show off your fun, playful side. Avoid yellow when you want to be taken seriously.
Orange
Like yellow, orange is associated with joy, enthusiasm, and attraction. This is a great color to wear when you want to liven things up.
Brown
Brown is a stable, wholesome, and down-to-earth color. Wear brown for mellow occasions or if you want to appear reliable and genuine.
Gray
Gray is a great color to wear when you need to come across as professional and trustworthy. Too much gray can get boring though, so be sure to punch it up with some fun colors.
Beige
Beige is a simple, conservative color that’s friendly, approachable and non-threatening. It’s perfect for times when you want people to open up to you.

I just love wearing red, everyone says it’s my colour and I’m definitely more likely to get lucky while wearing it. The only Problem is I don’t have any red clothes
I love all colours and styles. I just thoroughly enjoy being a woman after waiting so long for GRS.xxx
You look fabulous Shelta-Thari! 🙂 Love you hair but wish you would smile! You look awesome en femme!
Kisses…
Honestly, I was torn between black & pink. I voted for black! Turns out that pink was 1st place & black was 2nd place on the poll (Well, For Now)! Now although these 2 colors tend to be the colors I wear the most, I also love to wear light blue & red! Although I do wear other colors as well & like them too.
I find myself drawn to orange, peach and magenta. I’ve been wondering what significance these colours have. I have a navy blue skirt that is just a bit above the knee made in some sort of heavier material which I just love. But I also own things in medium green, black, purple and red. I am just not much for items in the brown spectrum. I have always loved a full color array.
Dear Lucille:
I’m just crazy about the color pink. Pink is the color of sissies everywhere, so it’s just perfectly natural that this is my favorite color.
Pink is such a calming color, and it is a neutral color. Pink is so relaxing
to me, I can never get mad whenever I wear Pink. I’m wearing a pink t-shirt right now without a bra on, and I feel so calm.
I had forgotten all about this, but years ago, I lived with a buddy of mine and his step-dad in their home, and my room had pink everything: the walls were painted pink, the drapes over the windows
were pink, the bedspread was pink, even the carpeting was PINK.
His sister was supposed to move back home, but she got a job closer to her school, so I moved into her room, and I loved it.
Oh, more good news, you sent me your three-step plan for luscious breast growth, I went to the pharmacy today, and got a bottle of FENUGREEK PILLS. I could hardly wait to get home and take them,
and, I took one of the pills and twisted it open, carefully. I mixed the powder with a little bit of hand lotion and applied it to both breasts.
I can feel a little tingle, but I’m beginning to see results already.
I’ll keep you notified of my results. girlfriend.
love ‘ya
Jayme
Here’s a tip for the frugal: Fenugreek is a spice. You can buy it in your spice section, and better yet, in bulk at some stores, at really low price. The seeds are hard to grind, so I soak them in hot water, then take a spoonful or two daily. It interferes with some medicines, so it’s best to separate dosages by a couple of hours. Good Luck and Success!
White and black as it goes with every thing red blue yellow it just works
Hi,
Red is my color, for the simple reason of my choice of hair. I tried blond, raven, hazel, even blue (don’t ask) but nothing fit’s as natural as my red hair. For this reason, I dress in black and/or red.
I tried other combinations:white, pink and beige where ‘ok’. But whenever I want to try out something blue, orange, yellow, green, grey,… I feel like changing my hair color because it seems not to fit in.
And well, I simply don’t want to do that. 🙂
Any advice on this?
Ps:On the enclosed picture I was doing make up for 5 months. Always happy to hear tips to improve.
Xoxo Lily
Wear purple with you hair that shade of red you would look ravishing.
You look awesome the only think I would some to do something thing differently is your eye brows change the color to more black or reddish
You look great, very nice
I have blue eyes, and have found that for everyday wear, light blue or grey suit me well, without standing out or calling attention to myself.
When I was having an affair with a woman who liked me to “dress”, that was her favorite color on me.
For dressier situations, she always said I look very good in black with a big splash of color, and with my skin tone, she told me I should stick to gold accents.
