Attaining your ideal weight can make a big difference in how you look and feel, whether you’re a crossdresser or a transgender woman.
If you’d like to appear a bit slimmer, here’s some good news!
You can instantly take off 5-10 pounds from your appearance with a few simple style tricks – no diets or intense workouts needed!
In this blog post I share 5 MTF body shaping tips that can help you look thinner instantly. Let’s get started!
1. Wear Clothes That Fit Right
The way your clothes fit has a huge impact on your appearance. This is especially true for crossdressers and transgender women. To look your best, avoid:
- Clothes that are too tight – These highlight trouble spots and emphasize fat rolls.
- Clothes that are too big – These add bulk and give your body a formless shape.
Instead, choose garments that skim along your body for the most flattering effect.
2. Go For V Necks And Open Collars
V-neck tops and open collars are fantastic choices for crossdressers and transgender women. They create flattering vertical lines down your torso, which can be helpful if you carry weight there.
Another tip is to avoid high neck tops, especially if you have large breasts or wear large breast forms. These can give you a matronly look.
3. Choose Flattering Accessories
Accessories can work wonders in redirecting attention to your best features and away from any areas you might feel conscious about, like a beer belly or bulges.
Here are 3 suggestions:
- Wear beautiful earrings to draw the focus away from your body and towards your face.
- Wear long necklaces to create the illusion of a slimmer torso. (Remember, it’s all about those slimming vertical lines.)
- If you have nice hands, wear bracelets and rings to bring attention to your wrists. This helps distract from big arms and/or broad shoulders.
4. Keep Your Chin Up
A double chin can make even the thinnest girl look overweight. Keep your chin lifted to give your neck a more defined look. This is especially important in photos.
While you’re at it, check your posture! Good posture can instantly take 5 pounds off of your figure.
5. Try Monochromatic Colors
I’m sure you’ve heard that dark colors are slimming. While this is true, it can also look a bit drab.
Instead of limiting yourself to dark colors, try monochromatic tones instead. Wearing similar colors from head to toe creates a smooth vertical line that is flattering and slimming.
For example:
- Pair a light cardigan with white pants.
- Wear a matching top and skirt.
- Add black pantyhose under a black dress.

Hi everyone I am Zoey and I am a late bloomer. So many of you are so beautiful and I envy many of you I always knew I was different then most guys. I had relationships with women and even got married. In 2017 at the age of 47 I decided I could no longer keep Zoey in a bottle. I had purged many times and one more time since. For the last 3 years I kept this secret life hidden from my regular life and still do to most. However during the quarentine my desires to dress and feel pretty became so great I decided to come out to my wife both as a crossdresser and being bi, to my surprise the bi part didn’t shock her but the crossdressing part completely floored her. Before you think she isn’t supportive that’s not the case at all but at 6′ 2″ 240 pounds she thought I would be the ugliest women ever and actually told me that. It hurt me dearly and I decided to show her some pictures which she was shocked. Here is the thing since that conversation I have dedicated myself to losing weight by tracking calories and working out 5 to 6 times a week. I have been able to lose 16 lbs in 6 weeks. However I am still 6 2 225. The question I have for everyone bring 6 2 and that big am I chasing a dream of every truly being fem? I have been told by many guys when I dress up I look good but in order to be close to passable I need someone to take 3 to 4 inches out of my legs and another 40+ pounds. What do you girls do for workouts to get slimmer and get that bubble butt?
Any advise for those of us that are unfortunate enough to have lost their war with weight gain. I’m 6’2 30st and dress size 32.
These 5 are VERY spot on! At 6-6/250 I do stand out so I want to do it classy…not trashy…
Great tips again.Thank you.The charming accessories and appropriate lower neckline also will add to the feminine glow.Ruched and wrap dresses add a slimmer look.Of course desire to look one’s best is vital.Weight control is really difficult.Exercise helps. For myself it seems to reduce my appetite. But healthy eating is a must.Looming slim and giving up healthy eating is not the way to reach that daily feminine look.
Oops,Last line should say.Looking slim and giving up healthy eating is not the way to reach that daily feminine look.
I will add that my own perception is that diets usually do not work.Having a healthy lifestyle is better.Myself eating is one of the great joys of life so I believe in a well balanced healthy diet. But I do know for many it is a life long stuggle.
Hi – I’m pretty lucky at only being 5’6” and abut 150 lbs. I just try to exercise and eat right. I hardly ever wear shape wear under my clothing, just a bra and panties. I also try to wear clothes that are comfortable and not super tight fitting. I’m 74 and just try to blend in as any other woman out there. Here I am a couple of months ago pre virus out shopping. Hugs, Suzy

I am totally in agreement with dark colors being more slimming. However good foundation wear is also essential.
