Many crossdressers and transgender women tell me that they felt more confident about their looks when they were younger.
The truth is, you can look beautiful and feminine at any age!
While nobody can stop the clock, there are some easy ways to make yourself look younger if that’s your goal.
In this blog post, I’ll share 7 simple tips to enhance your youthful allure as part of your feminization transformation journey.
1. Choose the Right Hairstyle
Hair has a huge impact on your appearance. Long hair is undoubtedly feminine, but remember that excessively long hair can accentuate signs of aging.
Consider these styles for a fresh, youthful look:
- Shoulder length hair: Universally flattering and youthful.
- Bangs: Cute, youthful, and great for concealing forehead wrinkles.
2. Embrace Your Sensual Side
While you shouldn’t dress like a 20 year old, you definitely want to avoid looking like a buttoned-up old lady.
Here are some ways to add a bit of youthful sex appeal to your look:
- Wear high heels and playful stockings.
- Choose clothing in sensual fabrics like lace, velvet, and fur.
- Show some skin (tastefully, of course).

3. Get Enough Sleep
We all need our beauty rest, and as you age, the effects of sleep deprivation become more apparent on your face.
Under-eye bags, dark circles, and lackluster skin can detract from a feminine look, so make sure to prioritize sleep.
4. Add Some Color to Your Wardrobe
If you tend to stick with black or neutral tones, consider incorporating some bright colors into your wardrobe.
Vibrant colors add a youthful energy and vitality to your appearance.
5. Whiten Your Teeth
Teeth can subtly reveal your age – older teeth often appear yellow or gray.
Whitening your teeth can rejuvenate your face and take years off your appearance. Consider using affordable and effective products like Crest White Strips for tooth whitening.
6. Use the Right Skin Care Products
While most skin creams may not live up to their “miracle in a bottle” claims, there are specific ingredients that have demonstrated anti-aging benefits.
Combat wrinkles and firm your skin by using products containing ingredients such as:
- Retinoids
- Vitamin C
- Growth factors
- Peptides
- Hyaluronic acid
You can easily find affordable products with these ingredients at your local drugstore.
7. Smile
Yes, it’s a cliché, but it’s true – a smile is the quickest way to enhance your appearance.
Smiling elevates your cheeks and functions like an instant facelift. Plus, it makes you look more pleasant and approachable when presenting yourself as a woman.
Beautiful at every age

From the day I was born, I’ve never been old. So why start now? In fact, I don’t think I know how!
YEAH I’D LIKE TO COMMENT ON LAURA’S COMMENT I TOO AM A LATER- IN-LIFE TRANSITIONER (I DON’T KNOW IF THAT’S THE RIGHT TERMINOLOGY TO BE USING TO BE DESCRIBING MYSELF OR NOT BUT IT’S HOW I FEEL.)
I JUST CAME OUT TO MY SISTER JUST LAST SUMMER. AND YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD HER PRAISING ME TO FINALLY BEING MYSELF.
Congratulations Miss Daisy! I was 58 when I started my transition. So I know how difficult it can be. I’m glad that there are people in your life that are supportive. They can be hard to find sometimes. Nobody wants to be a source of embarrassment to the ones they love. I hope your days will always be filled with peace and joy!
I am 62, recently retired. In the last two (maybe 3) years gravity has snuck up on me. The dreaded beer belly has appeared.
What’s the best way to camoflage it? Prior to A-line dresses were my go to. Of tights/leggings and A-line tunics. I wear Mary Janes for a business casual look, and 3 to 4″ pumps for sexy Saturday nights. At 6’2″ lower heels are best.
The beer belly has to go of course, but in the meantime I need to hide it.
Plus, need make-up hints for severely hooded eyes. That are very nice blue and naturally long lashes – when I open them up.
I’m 73 and fully transitioning. I’ve waited all my life to be who I really am. My partner of 49 years passed last year and I have only myself to please. Yes I have regrets. I wish I had been born a cis woman. But I refuse to go to my grave a fraud. My heart and soul have alway been those of a cis woman. Wish me luck. 2020 is the year I break free from my cocoon and catch the wind.
62 y/o and I dress,go out and do shopping Men have held doors for and call mam or hon. Feels so good and pleasing to me. I dress sexy, heels, stockings, skirt, face make up with a smile. Best of all for me it is not a sexual thing to me, hope i see a reply
That’s so wonderful, Maryanne! I hope this wonderful life as a happy woman continues for you to eternity!
Great ideas! I actually find it easier to look feminine as I age. When you’re younger, you have to work a lot harder to look like the women at that age. It’s all about makeup, fashion, exercise, body shaping, looking sexy, on and on. Many older women remain beautiful but talk about finally having the confidence to just be themselves without all of what the beauty industry expects. As we age, women and men converge somewhat, and understated fashion and beauty goes a really long way.
======]]0I couldn’t agree more @ 50y/o this month I think that I can tell of my observations.. I wasted many of the youthful years on silly things like being too afraid , to be out at all…. 5 years ago was the very beginning of my transformation. Your coment or excusee
