Traveling offers a fresh perspective on the world and can be especially liberating for crossdressers and transgender women.
When you go on a trip, it’s an opportunity to express your feminine self away from the routines and expectations of home.
The freedom to be your true self in a new, unfamiliar place can be truly liberating!
Considering all the benefits of taking a transgender or crossdressing vacation, I’m curious: Do you travel en femme?
Please take my poll and share your MTF travel experiences or aspirations in the comments below!

Years ago, when my wife was still alive, we used to travel quite a bit. I never flew enfemme, but I did drive enfemme many times. I still drive enfemme if the mood strikes me! And that club hits me often!
Since I go out now as a guy in a skirt (no wig and no makeup), I go to lots of places out of my own town. It is fun to see people eyeing me, and wonder what they are thinking. Not that I care!

Hi, Lucille,
Yes, of course I am out when I travel! The only problem I’ve ever had was with a gas station attendant, last summer.
I tend to dress down, most of the time, so I’m pretty unremarkable in female mode, but it also seems to make me pretty passable. When I offered to pay for the gas with a travellers’ cheque, naturally he wanted photo id. My driver’s licence, of course, showed me in male mode, and it threw him off, completely. He looked at the signature on the driver’s licence, then at the signature on the traveller’s cheque. Then, back to the driver’s licence. Shaking his head, he declared that the signatures were “really different!” (“No…., not really, but nice recovery!” I thought.) I assured him that it really was me, and showed him my “male mode” passport, to prove it. He was still shaking his head when I walked out the door. Goodness knows what sort of a story he told when he got home that night!
Hmmm, I’ll have to remember to make a point of going in to that same station next time I’m in town. Should be fun!

Lucille,
My dear I love your work.
I would like to go to a new city for a couple of weeks and live as a woman full time. The one and only time that I traveled en femme, was driving across the state. Not really a big deal.
I have gone shopping in other cities. I was in drab, but I told the sales women that I was shopping for myself. Really never a problem w/ using the dressing rooms in ladies boutiques. I live in a mid-sized “progressive” metropolitan area and have shopped in many many boutiques in femme. Rarely have I encountered an unfriendly person.
Thanx, Jackie
Yes, day or night. Not always, but more and more often. I do my grocery shopping dressed and yes that includes light makeup and wig. No one cares or says anything. Occasionally I get curious looks, but no comments. The best part was when 2 men whistled at me while I was walking across a parking lot in my skirt.
Hugs and Warmth

I go out in as much as I can daily. Once a month, on Friday night, I can be found at the Hippo in Baltimore on Easy Street. Just hanging out and looking for a game of pool.
I love the soft feel of bras on my growing girls. I wear fem clothing wherever I go. people dont stare like they used to. now everyone loves to see me in my latest fashion. I ever go to church fem. right now Im trying to lose 25 lbs. and maybe the weight will go north.
Yes I travel enfemme as often as I can. Time is usually the prohibiting factor for me. If I don’t have time to put my face on, I usually just go drab. I have gone shopping enfemme and in the many times I’ve done it, most people really don’t pay attention and I’ve been “made” 3 or 4 times. Not a bad record for how often I’ve been out and about. I’ve been at a clothier drab, buying for me, and I got so into it, I helped several patrons with outfits and they asked if I worked there. When I told them no, they told the girls at the counter they should hire me because of my good taste in clothes and my abilities to help people. Many women I’ve asked for opinions I’ve divulged that I was a crossdresser and have been ecstatic with helping me and very supportive and some have even expressed they wished their husbands would dress lol. Well, yes, I do go out and it is such a good feeling to pass enfemme. You know you’ve arrived when your waiter says have a nice day ladies when I’m out with friends or ma’am when I’m alone. ALways room to improve though. Love what you’re doing. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me.
