Your name is an important part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique privilege of choosing your own female name—a name that truly reflects who you are.
For many of you, there’s a special story behind your chosen name.
So, I’d love to know: What’s the meaning behind your feminine name?

I can’t wait to hear your story!

I was a good child … imaginative dreamer, not competitive and a little passive. In my games and in my fantasies, often I played female roles. On those occasions, I was Barbara… or rather Barbarina (elementary and nice Italian diminutive form).
Since I was not able to right pronounce the B letter… here’s Varvarina! I am Varvarina since my childhood.
My surname Ventidenari arrived later, and refers to my passion for pantyhose! Ventidenari means “venti” “denari”: “twenty”, “denier” … 20 denier!
I have always liked Jamie because it’s good for both boys and girls and Lynn just kind of goes with it don’t you think:-)
Why? It was the “sluttiest” name I could think of! I chose it because when I go out en fem and talk to people, saying my name reinforces in my mind, and hopefully, the person who hears it spoken, that I am a fun-loving gurl, all out there, not holding anything back. I’m not the type to get in anyone’s face about it, but I definitely choose to “own it” when I go out. When I win that personalized necklace, every one I pass in the mall, or where ever will know just what kind of gurl I am without me saying a word!
Pretty name I always wanted to be a girl so Liliana is a sexy and pretty name.
I chose my femme name of ‘Mae”. When I was young, about 7 or 8, I was wearing my Sisters clothes and asked my mother: “If I was born a real girl what name she would have given me? She replied that I was such a beautiful baby she had always thought of me as “Mae”, which is Irish for Mary.
I just took the name of the valley [shenan]go I live in and the street I live on [lafaye]tte and that’s it. I am also fond of my gamer name ‘allurrah jean masad’
I started dressing in girls clothes at an early age and always wanted to be a girl. Not interested in sports, I became interested in comic books. When I started going out in public, I realized I needed a name. I remembered Spiderman’s girlfriend Gwen Stacey. I was so jealous of her. She was beautiful, sexy and always wore the most fashionable clothes. I have not encountered anyone in real life with that name and found it unique. I chose Marie as my middle name as it was my mother’s middle name and I always thought it was pretty.
Hugs,
Gwen
My feminine name is Amber Marie and my parents actually gave it to me when I was little as a “If you were born a girl you’d be Amber Marie” kind of thing. For some reason the name kept rattling around in my head. But now that I’ve stopped repressing who I truly am, I now understand why it stayed with me all those years.
