Your name is a powerful part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a trans woman or crossdresser, you have the unique opportunity to choose a name that reflects who you truly are.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear yours!
How did you choose your feminine name?

Even though I’m old, I distinctly remember being very young ( four or five) and my mother saying I would have been a pretty girl. At times she would call my Chrissy, or even Christine ( my name is Chris). Some of my aunts picked up on it, and would also call me Chrissy or Christine. I’m very happy with Christine, or Chrissy!
I loved a few names so I dressed up and thought about how I felt at the time, and I felt so beautiful, desirable, sexy, a little naughty, and remembered a song from the 80s about a girl named Tara (The Knack). One line, “Oh Tara, I can’t help how I feel”… So Tara Wilde it is for now… Tara has enjoyed some online posting and I get a lot of comments about how the name fits (without even asking) so I guess it was a good choice…
Hi
I choose Sofie after the most natural beautiful girl I have known as I wanted the same natural elegance as her. Also Sofie is easy to pronounce in many languages.
My name was chosen from my heritage, I am Norwegian
I searched for female first names, then surnames
After looking at them for awhile, I selected six of each
Then paired them up then thought about each name for a week or longer
I narrowed my selection over the next few weeks to three names
I took more time to think of each name because it was going to be an inherent part of me forever
I chose one name, Hanna Olsen, then thought about it for a month to be sure
Then I opened an email and social media accounts with my new name, and haven’t looked back or regretted my choice, since
Warmest hugs,
Hanna

Do You really want to know the story of my female name?
Well…
Two twin brothers, mathematicians from the Netherlands. And one German policeman.
sorta lame, maybe, took the female version of my name, and added the german alphbet and got me.
My first 2 initials of my male name is K D, I started saying it as name, started spelling it out and came up with Kaydee
I chose Andrea because it is close to my male name and I hated the name I was going to be if born female. My parents said Justine, ughh, even my siblings hated it.
My name has been evolving from the beginning. I started with Monique but decided I was not exotic enough to fit that name to I went to Morgan which I made my email name under. My female identity began to show more and so I felt more feminine than the name Morgan. I went to Michelle for a bit since I thought of that name a lot when I was growing up. Maybe that was a hint of my transness. Michelle felt a little too girly for a 70 year old though so I switched again to Monica which I feel fits my feminity the best for now. It is hard to pick a name really especially when your identity is kind of fluid.
