Your name is an important part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique privilege of choosing your own female name—a name that truly reflects who you are.
For many of you, there’s a special story behind your chosen name.
So, I’d love to know: What’s the meaning behind your feminine name?
Share your name and the story of how you chose it in the comments below.
I can’t wait to hear your story!
Love,
Lucille
Lucile my name would have been Kimberly Ann if I had been born my real gender. I put the two names together to make Kimberlyann and added my father’s mother’s name Marie for my middle name. I love my names.
I didn’t choose a female name until I created an online account as a crossdresser. I spent about 3 minutes looking through a list of girl names with the same first letter as my given name. I saw Juno, and decided it was a good choice, because I was born in Juneau, Alaska. I later found that Juno is the Greek goddess of heaven, which makes it even better.
My mother thought that Juno was not girly enough for a T-girl, so I considered changing it. She would have named me Donna Marie, which is quite feminine and sexy. In fact, 1 of 3 people named Juno are male, from a non-Greek name origin. But, I decided that not being purely female was in fact a perfect fit, because I am in fact part male.
Recently, I started belly dancing lessons for fun and to improve my curves. So, I added Dancer as a last name for my female persona.
My given middle name is Michael, and I also have a PhD, so my full name is Dr. Juno Michelle Dancer.
I deceided this on this name combination for two reasons Carol after Caroll Shelby and Carol King two of my favorite people and the ann part because it was a unique combination when brought together with Carol. The whole thing leaves me with the same initials which are C.L.M. the L for Louise which is much better than Lewis. The whole thing flows so nicely and I love to here it. Carolann Louise Miller
When I was growing up this girl Ranielle hung out with us. A bunch of guys. she was just like one of the guys. I allways had a great deel of respect and admeration for her, plus she was very hot. There for Ichose her name for my first, and raniee after an outher T girl that I have a great deal of respect for.
i’ve always adored the name laura. i can remember even as a child, the daughter of a friend of the family’s name as being laura and i have liked it ever since. It just seemed to be a perfect choice for me when i began my journey as a trans-woman.
My family name begins with the letter G, hence my choice for my last name Gee.
Kindest regards,
laura 🙂
What a beautiful smile! I love the lipstick.
Hi Lucille,
I chose the name Britney Elise because of two very special young women in my life. My oldest niece Brentney Lianne and my youngest niece Ashton Elise have always been my biggest supporters. By combining the two names of each niece i came up with Britney Elise.
Being able to choose my name has allowed me to choose a name that embodied not only the strong characteristics of each niece but by combining them i feel gives me each of their strengths to become the woman that i feel i am.
Thanks,
Brintey elise
Okay, I suppose that a lot of tg women go with a feminine adversity of their male names. Mine didn’t go that way. I had a friend who had a sister (not a tg sister, a biological one) and her name was Tonya. Well I thought that her name was the sexiest name for a woman that I’d ever heard so I decided to go with that. Although my name is not even close to Tony, I figured I’d just make a total jump in.
Cool . . . I figured use some of the letters in my first and last name to invent my feminine person Man/da. Manda.
