I’m excited to hear the story!
Love,
Lucille
it’s really pretty simple. my real initials are L. N. hence, ellen!
My mother was very accepting of my crossdressing from the time I was about 12… She actually told me my name was going to be Karen Marie if I had been born a girl, so that kind of stuck… It just seemed to feel right and there was a girl named Karen at school who was a brunette like me… I mulled over other names like Tricia, Lisa and Melissa, but Karen fit me best… 30 years later, I’m still Karen when I’m dressed en femme…
Hugs, Karen Marie Collins
Good Evening Lucille,
I hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday evening.
I chose my name, Jaye, because it is a combination of my name and last initial (Jay E). What made it stick was that I was using it on a BDSM website (as a male name) and one of the other Female members told me that jaye was a girls name and asked why I was using it if my profile said I was a male. After thinking about it for a moment, I realized I had just been “given” my female name and now I was going to try to be more of a gurl or boi everyday. Now I go to the mall for makeovers, and get facials, manicures and pedicures, have my legs and eyebrows waxed, and so much more!!!
Thank-you Lucille for your exceptional website and all the insight, information, and opportunities that your share with us.
Best Wishes Always,
jaye
Hi Lucille
It is a name I’ve always liked, and the shortened Becky.
It just felt right. I considered it for quite a long time.

Names are a funny thing, they say so much but are so simple.
I was Randy all my life. In this time, I played games and wrote stories and always used female characters. I named them pretty names that I could make up. Saraena, Sarissa, Raelinae, Tristina, Etc..
Only Recently have I realized and began my transformation to be myself. I looked for a name and could not find one I loved. I was in group when this topic came up again. My theripist knew of my writing and my names. She asked me some of the names I have used in games and stories, so I rattled them off.
The consensus turned out to be that I was most closely a Sarissa, and they all thought it was beautiful also. This seemed to stick and now I cant imagine being anyone but Sarissa.
Sarissa.
I searched for a name that presented beauty and femininity to me and sounded pleasing to the ear. I chose Rihanna Michaels as my name. As you stated we get the unique opportunity to choose.
I chose my female name after my Dad called me by this name I was only eleven years old at the time. I thought if he thinks i am a girl i had better act like one and began dressing up using my mothers makeup and clothes at this time. Since then I have never looked back and have enjoyed being a girl ever since.
Hello Lucille,
Chosing a female name I decided to work on an extension of my own name. One of my classmates at school had a older sister called Pauline. I liked that name, however I thought the name was a bit too long. A few years later another classmate had a younger sister who started at the school, her name is Paula. That name is perfect. A few people have complimented me on my female name.
