The right pair of shoes can instantly transform the way you look, feel, and walk. That’s why a girl can never own too many pairs!
Of course, not all shoes are created equal and some styles are much more flattering and feminizing than others.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ve compiled the top 7 shoe styles for crossdressers and transgender women.
From classy high heels to comfortable flats, here are the best MTF shoes to enhance your feminine image.
1. Classic Black Pumps
What could be more chic than a pair of classic black pumps? They add a polished look to any outfit, making them a feminine wardrobe staple.
For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.
2. Ballet Flats
You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.
3. D’Orsay Pumps
The d’Orsay is a beautiful and elegant pump style in which the sides are cut away to reveal the arch of the foot.
D’Orsay pumps are perfect for showing off shapely legs – an asset for most crossdressers and transgender women.
4. T-Straps
T-straps add a sexy touch to pumps, high heel sandals, and flats. T-strap shoes have two distinct benefits:
- The ankle strap offers extra support for your ankles, making them easier to walk in than other heels.
- The vertical line created by the center strap draws the eye upwards, making your legs look longer.
5. Nude Heels
If you’re on a budget, nude heels will give you the most mileage since they can be worn with literally any color of outfit.
Choose a nude tone that blends in with your skin to make your legs look miles long – an added bonus!
6. Wedges
Still trying to master walking in heels? Then consider a wedge heel. Since the sole covers more ground, they’re much easier to walk in.
One caveat: Wedges have a chunky look, so they are best for those with thinner legs. Stay away from them if you have large or muscular legs.
7. Tall Boots
Boots are sexy and sassy, so they’re a wardrobe must.
Choose knee high boots for the most elegant look. Tall boots are more flattering and slimming than ankle boots or boots that hit the middle of the calf.
Let’s talk shoes!
Of course, these 7 shoe styles are only the beginning! While all of these options are fantastic, the best shoes are the ones that make YOU look and feel your best.
I could talk about shoes for days, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Take my poll and then and share a photo of yourself wearing your favorite shoes in the comments below!

I wear a womens size 11 heel and boot.
I love all heels and nylons. I have over 50 pair of heels.
For ones, who is from Europe (like me :)), I can recommend stravers-shoes.com – online and offline shop, located in Amsterdam.
They are transgender friendly, so you can go and try what you want with absolutely no shame!
Just bought there my first pair of ballerina shoes. They are so pretty! 🙂
I so LOVE these feminine things… 🙂
I was blessed with smaller feet and a short frame so I have not had any of the problems the other women talk about buying shoes that are stylish and comfortable for an elegant evening or everyday work or play.Heel hieght should be appropreate to the style of shoe also for the occassion.Living out west I have many pairs of boots,my favorites are Western Style with all the fancy embroidery.I would suggest to everyone planning to wear, walk, work in high heels for any length of time to keep the hieght under 4 inchs and something with a block or wedge heel for safety and comfort.Remember wearing high heels for long periods of time can cause serious injury so save those 5 inch Stiletto’s for the bedroom or have a nice pair of bedroom slippers for the doctors office.Shoes are an addiction buying, wearing, talking about, looking at,trying on……..everyday!Don’t you Love It! Best Wishes ~ Honey
I couldn’t agree more with your good advice, Honey. ‘Appropriate’ is best for all occasions. If you do this, you’ll always look classy…even when you’re being casual. Thank you for bringing some levity to these discussions. Ronae
omg I LOVE these shoes. And those pink ones at the top are gorgeous too. I’m disabled and live with my parents so can’t by the shoes I want but I would so love to have almost every pair I see on this page.
Hi Lucille and everyone, my first post on here.
I love shoes, all kinds. I wear a size 13 men’s shoe, but my foot is narrower, so I can get away with a women’s size 13 or 13 W. In some cases of sandals, size 12. I have 10 pair of Le Dame Footwear. They make women’s shoes in men’s sizes, in case you didn’t know. I have 3 pair of Le Dame’s boots. 2 of them, a knee lenghth and an ankle boot, are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn, including mens. I also have a 4 inch strappy sandal from them. I usually have to be very selective with 4 inch heels, this one I have worn out dancing in clubs with no problem. I don’t know why but it fits perfectly. I also have a 3 inch silver dorsay pump from them that I love to. They have a web site but they are having supply problems and as far as i know they haven’t received any new styles for a while. They also make a red pump that they sell for ‘Walk a mile in her shoes’. I also have found nice fittng shoes and boots at Payless in the Madison WI area. They have 2 stores here. They carry up to 13 and 13W. The 13W I usually grab right away. I don’t purchase shoes anymore without trying them on. I got brave enough to do so, even in drab. DSW I found some 13s a couple times but not recently. SE WI Shopko stores carry some 13s occasionally. I have a 6 inch ankle boot too, I’m trying to get use to, but i’m 5’11” and that boot makes me really tall, lol

After I found what size I wear, I actually paid full price for these Stewart Wietzmans. Still one of my most favorite pairs. I’ve noticed the higher the brand, the better the fit and quality.
GREAT-looking shoe!!
I am such a shoe, boot whore and it’s gotten so bad I’m building an over sized walk-in-closet on to my house for all my shoes, boots and wardrobe. I think I need help. LOL! 🙂 But seriously I love wearing them every chance I get so the more the merrier I say.
