Are you afraid to step out as a woman for fear of not “passing?”
Instead of fixating on passing, my advice to crossdressers and transgender women has always been to try to “blend in” as a woman instead. (Read more on that topic here.)
But lately, I’ve been wondering… Is blending in REALLY the ultimate goal when presenting as female?
After all, why wear cute outfits, style your hair, or apply makeup if no one notices?
I think it’s a natural feminine desire to want to stand out and make a statement. Does your inner woman share this desire?
This is an interesting topic, and I’d love to hear your thoughts:
- Do you enjoy getting positive attention when presenting yourself as a woman?
- Or do you prefer to blend in and attract as little attention as possible?
Please take my poll and share your thoughts below!
Love,
Lucille

confidence in stepping out and going shopping or any place is just one thing I don’t have yet even though I have gone outside to smoke a cigarette at night when all my Neighbor’s are in bed asleep. How can I get over the fear?
Hi,
I started to dress up since 12, but only go out in public since two years ago. At first I hoped could blend ok in order to pass and not been noticed, but now, I enjoy be noticed as a woman. I think that there are at least two ways of view, on the first hand, I take care in order to be treated as the woman I want or feel I am. And on the other hand, as you said, once I could pass as woman, want to be noticed and get attention as a lady, just as I feel am.
Thank’s and greetings
Sometimes the attention isn’t all that positive. In some parts of the world it’s just safer in general for women to blend in, and save the glamour for nights with friends and security.
I love going out and being accepted as a woman.
I love to stand out of the crowd and be recognized as a gay drag queen or male in women’s clothes, makeup, heels etc. I have even been asked in public by women if I would do they’re makeup and hair. So exciting.
For years I was afraid to walk even to close to a window much less in public. When I did get the courage I was a complete disaster. It wasn’t until I quit trying so hard to “pass” sand just be Kylie. I’m not fooling anything into believing I’m a genetic girl but I’ve since started to develop my own feminine style and I’m very proud of the girl/woman/lady that Kylie has become and continues to grow everyday. A lady stopped dead in her tracks after seeing me and compliment me on how cute I looked and how well put together I was, In front of everyone who agreed and said the nicest things, although completely red blushing, it was my moment, I was one of the girls! I take my femininity very seriously. As of now everything is in place so that I can be a girl full time and I’m sooo excite. I got my first mail yesterday addressed to Kylie, omg guys the butterflies still haven’t stopped. It all boils down to confidence girls. Don’t worry about being able to “pass” and just be your best you girls. Regardless what anyone thinks or says Im Kylie, I’m a girl. I’m all girl!!!! And I absolutely love being a pretty/elegant Dress wearing, high heel lovin, covered in satin and lace Girlie Girl thanks Ms Lucille and Ms Val! I love you guys soooo very much
Stand out!!! I’m full time female, but I am not fooling anyone. No one thinks that I am a genetic woman, but I still get lots of nice compliments from women and men. I love that so much. It makes me very happy.

If that’s really you then you don’t have anything to worry about because you look absolutely ravashing and can pass as a female anywhere.
You shouldn’t be shy about going out in public
Try going to the mall or a shopping center and you’ll see that I’m right
Nobody is going to question if you are a female.
There isn’t any reason to believe that you are anything but a gorgeous women
Well, Jessie you look fantastic!
Thank you Sara
