Are you afraid to step out as a woman for fear of not “passing?”
Instead of fixating on passing, my advice to crossdressers and transgender women has always been to try to “blend in” as a woman instead. (Read more on that topic here.)
But lately, I’ve been wondering… Is blending in REALLY the ultimate goal when presenting as female?
After all, why wear cute outfits, style your hair, or apply makeup if no one notices?
I think it’s a natural feminine desire to want to stand out and make a statement. Does your inner woman share this desire?
This is an interesting topic, and I’d love to hear your thoughts:
- Do you enjoy getting positive attention when presenting yourself as a woman?
- Or do you prefer to blend in and attract as little attention as possible?
Please take my poll and share your thoughts below!

Lucille

I do like the attention and dress nicely, not trashy or overdone. Enough to garner a second look. I do love showing off my breasts which definitely get second and third looks. Very proud of the girls. The rest comes naturally with the looks. Smiles and compliments all round. Just very happy drawing attention on a subtle kinda way.
I try to stand out in a classy/elegant way. I have received quite a few compliments from women about my dresses/outfits which really makes me feel great! I always try to dress for the occasion so I wouldn’t wear a tight bodycon dress to the grocery store or even to a restaurant on a weekday night (well, maybe a Thursday night…).
I think that I might have already responded to this months ago and I see there are over 70 pages of responses so I will not look for it.
But I have been living as a woman for many years now and my gender has never been questioned. I try to look like an everyday woman and not try to over do it like a flamboyant drag queen that sometime are loud and shrill. I use just enough makeup to make me look like a woman and dress like an everyday woman. If I am walking through the mall while shopping or walking down a sidewalk with my purse strap over my shoulder, wearing a dress and heels and my hair is my own and down passed my shoulders. When people see me they think they are looking at a cis woman.
I am a wife and have a husband and we are legally married via same sex marriage aka gay marriage and we had our wedding in Las Vegas and I was a bride wearing a white dress. Husband and I both wear wedding rings. I function as a woman and wife in our marriage in EVERY WAY if you know what I mean!
I found your little drawing so cute it is now the wallpaper on my phone!
Thank you,

I am pretty much like you, but I am not married because I am lesbian. I try to dress a little in the high femme style, but still don’t want to stand out in the crowd. I am considered to be a cis woman, and don’t do anything to fail in this role.
I am there were I always wanted to be, a woman among other women.
There are times I do want to stand out. but being feminine is an art. I know I am feminine through and through so I am happy blending in, though again if someone is interested in me they will quickly realize I am a feminine being.
Wearing panties every day is one way I connect with myself and other feminine clothes.
I am amazed by the progress of my round little breast thanks to the advice from this site, and I love it.
I like both in a way. I want to blend in but also be complimented on my outfit, dress or shoes! Nothing like a compliment to boost your confidence, especially from a man. We all enjoy that being treated nice!
I like standing out, it’s all the attention men give me they make me feel wanted
I enjoy attracting positive attention when presenting myself as a woman. I love the freedom of expressing my femininity to the fullest extent possible. If I attract attention, so be it. There is nothing more satisfying than women telling me they wish they had my legs, or that they want me to do their nails like I do mine.
Nikki…you look fabulous Doll!
Like you,I love to doll up and go out with my girlfriends.
Unlike you…I am 74 in October, so it does get harder every year to slip into my OBG, MY 100% nylon stockings, makeup, heels, etc, etc…
Enjoy being you,as long as you can
Looking amazing…pics for your evaluation…hit me back girl…

I hope I look that good when I am 74!

I find that as I get older, blending in just gets better! At 74, I just try my best to look like any other lady doing her thing. Now that I’m retired, l live pretty much every day now as a woman. I love it! Here I am the other day going out to a restaurant with a friend of mine. Have fun out there ladies!
Suzy you look fabulous and happy. Love you in that dress and pumps. Great style!
Keep having fun
