Are you afraid to step out as a woman for fear of not “passing?”
Instead of fixating on passing, my advice to crossdressers and transgender women has always been to try to “blend in” as a woman instead. (Read more on that topic here.)
But lately, I’ve been wondering… Is blending in REALLY the ultimate goal when presenting as female?
After all, why wear cute outfits, style your hair, or apply makeup if no one notices?
I think it’s a natural feminine desire to want to stand out and make a statement. Does your inner woman share this desire?
This is an interesting topic, and I’d love to hear your thoughts:
- Do you enjoy getting positive attention when presenting yourself as a woman?
- Or do you prefer to blend in and attract as little attention as possible?
Please take my poll and share your thoughts below!

Blending in, on my own terms.
Weird lady is the ultimate goal.
But anything is better than the thing I was.
I am fully transitioned, but it’s never really finished.
I am not young and will live away my life my way, or until bigots hang me from a tree.
I don’t think I pass, but had nice comments, so who knows?
Life is hard.
I am happy.
Love ya all.
Hey everyone I’m Tasha and I think blending in is always best.as a transgender woman it already hard enough on us and I try my best to be classy and show respect to other.
I prefer to blend in
Fortunately, I always do. I’m 100% passable. I’m 5″2 130 lbs.
Been nice to have a both option.
I transition at age 11 and tend to blend, but there are times that I dress for attention, like parties, night on the town, or just feeling frisky and wanting cat calls.
Actually both. Blend in and fit in the situation or event dictates, but not be afraid to stand out in a crowd as your authentic self. Basically be part of the crowd, but not part of the heard.
I didn’t vote because my answer is both. I want people to see me as a woman, not a cross-dressing man, so from that perspective, I want to blend in. I don’t want my appearance to scream “cross-dresser.” But I also think my style is girly and classic and from that standpoint, I want to stand out. I want people to think “what a classy looking woman.” That combination would be my ultimate dream.
Blend in.more people feel more relaxed whenvaround you unside abd out.

Dear Caroline, thankyou for sharing a picture of your self. It is so refreshing to wear a pretty dress instead of male clothes. If you would like to correspond with me, please reply to this email. Love Rosemerry
Although when standing outside in heels I have gotten a couple of “Hey, Baby” from cars driving by, I definitely just want to blend in.
