It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
Name-
Funny storie. Some time aego at a party one of my nicer friends called me Jullan, of course in a humoristic way. At that time I had not left the closet. Time passed and because it was a nice joke so got the name forgotten. Until I neded a new fem. name by my stepping out and I remembered the name Jullan and took it, It is not far from my real old name so it was not hart to my friends and relatives to learn the new one.
Sincerily
Jullan
all I Did was drop my middle name (Floyd)
as down south in the 30s/40s and now again today two part first names were quite common when there is another in the extended family with same name
My mom accidentally saw me one night when i was in female makeup and dress. After enjoying my transformatio as a girl i used to sleep in my female mode. That particular night i forgot to lock my door from inside. I got up very late in the morning and when i got up to my horror i saw hot tea was kept on the table near my cot. Under the flask i saw a small note and i immediately recognized that it was from my mom. “Lilly you are a very beautiful girl” This was written on a papper and kept under the flask. I knew mom has seen me sleeping as a girl. Instead of making a fuss about it, she quitely wrote this note addressing me as Lilly. Ever since i kept the name as my female avtar’s name.
A delightful story!
SUCH a beautiful story!
A very cute and tuching story. You are lucky that you had an so kind and understanding mother.
Kind regards
Jullan from Sweden
This was not my first choice. My first choice was family based bar the first one that is, it was Alison Jane Rosemary – Jane was a cousin, Rose is my moms middle name, Mary was my grandma’s (my best friend ever) name. I built it all around them hoping that when I told them, (mom and dad that is, my nan had already passed on) it would lessen the load so to speak – if only! My Mothers only response was “Why can’t you just be gay?” Anyway I stuck to its and persisted with them to no abode. She did say why not stick to your mans name and have Davena (I thick that’s how you spell it) but I wanted to leave all that and the bullying that went with it behind so as a compromise I kept the initials D R but she still doesn’t support me in any way whatsoever but that has stuck with me and I have my own family and friends now so that’s all that matters.
I chose Pamela as it is the same as my initial so made it easier to get parcels at the time .I would’ve preffered Sarah love that name But kind of got used to Pamela now and i’m Pamela in so many places ,it would be too much messing to start again.
My mom told me she was sure she was going to have a girl while pregnant with me (as far as I’m concerned she did). She liked the name Donna and I was to be born in June thus Donna June. Since that was to be my name if born female, I kept it
Donna, you look beautiful. Love the name too.
My first name is what used to be my middle name (the girls spelling of it), and my middle name, is the first name of my grown up daughter.
I had originally chosen Ava, but then found out how popular it is so I decided to toss in the “y”. My birth name being Nick for my middle name i decided to go with Nichole and keeping my last name as is. So now I can keep my signature the way it is as well…win win lol
-Ayva Nichole
