It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
Actually, a dating site chose it for me. lol I registered as Jenna Rae. The site made it Jennara. I loved/love it, so I kept it.
I’m Regina now.
Legally, I am Donald. I see no real reason to go through the effort of changing all of my documents and legal references. However, when I selected a name to be called, the natural choice of Donna had no appeal, but I did want a “D” name. I have been a motorsports fan since childhood, have attended all sorts of events across the country and have even driven a few race cars in my time. What I remembered was that the wife of Mario Andretti is named Dee Ann. I liked the sound of that, but I took out the space to encourage saying the full name and not shortening it to Dee. Sadly, Dee Ann Andretti has since passed away.
Since I retired and relocated 5 1/2 years ago, very few have ever met Don. In all my community involvements, DeeAnn is the person of record…
I have liked the name Isla for years, and it happens to have the same first letter as my old man name, which is sometimes easier
I asked my Mom what they were going to name me if I were born a girl.
