It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
My assigned birth name is William Joseph so BillieJo seemed like the obvious choice.
My name is Elani. I based it off my middle name (Elan). Besides that, I think the name “Elani” is beautiful and unique.
I looked through a book of flowers, and was stuck between Cosmos or Aster, so i decided to use both! Also because I love space, the name felt meaningful to my character
I always liked the name Erica. It’s strong yet sexy. Like when a viking woman meets Marlene Dietrich.
I was born Samuel, so I turned it into Samantha. White being my mothers surname
I began my femme life as Christine-Lynne, but after some years (and loving the name Christine-it’s so feminine) I came to realize that it’s not really appropriate for a Jewish girl 🙂 So, I went back to my roots, and realized that Arielle (which I quickly came to love, and I wear my new name as a necklace) was a feminine version of my Hebrew name. Lynne is a femme version of my given male name.
My feminine name is Allanah, I thought that was a great name considering my real name, I love wearing short skirts/dresses with stockings and pantyhose and lovely panties
I was born with a male name. I found a friend who was the 1st person I talked to about transitioning, her name was Kelli with an I not a Y. She was my inspiration to go for what I want. My happiness. Then I found another friend who is the blonde in my pic, who led me the way to it……
Richard to riki. Simple.
