It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I like adventure time and there’s a character named Marceline so I took a similar name cause I like her and I would like to be her, but I’m questioning my sissy name and maybe in the future a change it
Well, I received an erroneous email that it was destined to a lady who had my same initials. Then when I googled that name the first picture I saw was of a beautiful girl that looked as my ideal self… so I loved the name. I think that email came to me as a divine signal. I love my name; Berenise.
Hi Lucille,
This is an interesting question, all I know is that many years ago a gf of mine started calling me Lynn, perhaps it was because it was easier to say than Linda. And for some reason the name became a part of my femme identity. I like it and It’s me what can I say 🙂
Hello i experimented with my name and finally chose Ashley Davis ashley from similar to my first name and davis i chose from a model.
Well, my name is Rand, and when I was little, my older sisters would dress me up in girls clothes and they called me Randa. So later when I started dressing and feeling femme, I just continued with the name Randa, and quite like it!
I’ve always seen such beauty and poetry in what was on the silver screen, and I belive that many strong female actresses have gotten to show talents through the medium. One of my favorite actresses that I really admire is Sigourney Weaver she is just so strong and beautiful. My favorite of her roles is as Ellen Ripley. I always say to myself, ” self if she can fight off crazy acid blooded aliens then I can become my real me.” I’m still far from it and proably a little stuck but one day I’ll get to share that name with everyone. Though I was more fond of Ripley over Ellen or Eleanor so I flipped it around making Ellen my middle name.
To be honest I don’t really have a “great” story behind how I chose my name. I just went with something that was using the same initials that my birth name has.
Charlotte is the feminine of the first name I never use, simple.
