It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
Like many others it’s a variant of my real name, and i think it’s easier to react or reply to. Sometimes acquaintances will call me “robbie” as well.
I used the name of to girls I wished I looked like when I was younger. Their names were Lynn and Linda .
When I started going out I choosed two first names of beautifull models/actresses that played a strong role in a film: Natasha Henstridge played a half alien in Species and Talisa Soto kicked ass in Mortal Combat
“Carol” is my female boss’ name. She inspired me to love my femininity, and be proud of the woman I am.
Hey hello,
My original name starts with an M so I wanted my new name also starting with an M.
I didn’t want a name of someone I know so I came up with Melany.
Love and kisses
I came to my name in a few different ways. The first part of my first name Amber came from my first girlfriend that I truly loved. The second part of my first name Lynn came from my son’s mom’s middle name. So my first name Amberlynn came from two women who ment a lot to me. My middle name Rose came from me wanting to honor my mom who’s favorite flower is a rose. Then my last name came from my favorite pornstar Jenna Haze. Hence my name came. Amberlynn Rose Haze
I selected Juliya. It’s my first girlfriend’s name
“Ginny” sounded most like “Jimmy”, my previous name.
When I was growing up I called myself Charlie a bit of a tomboy name but a variation of my birth name. I had that for years and was ok with it. That lasted till I was around 35. Thats when I met Linda and we dated. She embraced my changes. About a month into our dating we were going out to dinner and afterwards she asked me if i minded her calling me Charlene instead of Charlie? She also told me that I looked like a Charlene. I told her that I didnt mind at all and actually loved it. It was like a light switch got turned on inside me. From that wonderful evening I became Charlene.
