It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille

Hi Lucille
When I was about five or six years old I heard that name for the first time and instantly knew it’s mine 🙂
Chose Desiree (Dave is my male name) as my feminine name as the name Desiree means “desired” as this name fit my transition to CD.
How my name came about was Davina is the female version of David my real male name. The De Ville came about when i joined a crossdressing club online and a few girls commentated that my sense of humour was wicked so the De Ville surname came about. I think it suits me and i love it
Hello Lucille,
After years of secretly dressing, I was going out to CD weekends at a resort. I was stopped by the State Police for talking on a cell phone while driving. (I wasn’t). He went back to his patrol car radio. Soon three more police cars came to see me. I was Frank at that time. Now my name Francine, and the gender marker is “F” instead of “M” on my driver’s license.
I have had to change all legal documents too. Life is good now. No more embarrassment. Thank you for allowing others be who they are.
With Love,
Francine
I chose Lynne. My male name is Glenn. I used the e, both n’s, the l. Just changed the g into a y. BingoLynne
