It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
For me as a cross dresser it was vey important to select the proper name that would help me to create my femme image and personality. It had to be a name I identify myself with and a very feminine name that had to end with an “a”. Everytime I dress like a woman I identify with my feminine self and I feel very proud of what I am representing. I am a woman and my name is Jessica! I feel very happy and proud when I fully transform myself into a woman and the name of this feminine sexy and adorable woman is Jessica. I love it when people call me by my name Jessica.
Jessica,
I had to stop and comment when I saw your picture…
What a beautiful picture….love everything about it. I love pokadots too.
ENJOY Being you, as long as possible.
At 73, I am at the other end of my rainbow….T.J.
I chose my name from my favorite singer/songwriter Jim Morrison. I enjoy writing and singing my own music, and Jim has been my biggest inspiration for both. I also like the fact that he was also bisexual like I am as well.
I used to go by the name Lacy, because I told my co-worker I liked wearing panties. She bought me a pair of lacy panties and viola, Lacy was born. Some days she would surprise me and tell me to wear panties for her at work. She would give them to me discreetly and I would go put them on in the men’s room. After she left the company I met my current on-line Mistress. We exchange stories of what She would like to do to Her sissy gurl. I asked Her to give Her sissy a name. She likes the name Mila and my Mistress’ name is Jane, so I adopted Mila Jane.
Not a lot of thought went into my name really–
My wife& I both come from big families with plenty of girls–
Most of the names I chose were already within the family-
Names my wife chose were too close to my name /too close to my male name or I just didn’t like them–
I said to her–I just want a Plain female name like-say-Jane& she said–Perfect—all settled-

I picked Lucy not sure why maybe I’m just used to hearing my other name Lukie but I think I will change it to Sarah
In the early days (pre-CD) whilst chatting with a nice lady, she informed me that “you shouldn’t use your real name on here”. So after some discussion we decifed my online name should be Max.
Fast forward to a few years ago with a new partner, the femme exploration began and Maxine was an obvious choice. It fits really well. The surname is from a childhood buddy. I subsequently discovered that it is also the word for a very private part of the female anatomy in another language.
I have always been intrigued with Japanese folklore I ran across a Japanese warrior named Kashi and I thought of how I could feminize it so I picked Kashina, my middle name I picked from the tv series Sky King and my last name I imagined a small brook in the middle of the woods so I changed all three of my names legally in ’07 when I started living totally female.
Kashina
