It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I had a great friend with this name and I just love it so I told her name and now I’m Loretta too.
The full female name that I have selected for myself is Patricia Kay Bennett. I am amazed how early on I chose this name and how quickly I did so. Each part of my name means something or someone special to me and I have never regretted my choice or ever thought over the years about changing it. I think it truly reflects who I am and is a part of me.
Patricia
When I was younger I was a really big nicki Minaj fan. She embodied everything I wanted to be and in some ways I think I wanted to be. Years later I came into my own and outgrew that, but the name fit me now and it just stuck
Nicki, you are beautiful!
God BLESSSSS
As a child i adored the old tvshow Batman. Catwoman just reeked of feminine loveliness so i took her real name Julie
I chose Toni because it is the female version of Anthony/Toni my birth name.
I always felt Toni fit me better. I knew one Toni and she was a Tom boy so I felt it fit perfect of my circumstances
Love,
Toni
I lived in Brazil for many years and liked a name from there to choose for me: Beatriz. I simply love this name, and it has nothing to do with the name I was assigned at birth. Beatriz, Beatrice, Bea etc. comes from Latin Beatrix = bea-good, trix-traveller. I really feel this way, a girl who tries bringing happiness to people everywhere she goes….
My mom wanted to name me aaron daniel but my dad refused to have his boy have a girly sounding name so i became ErinDanielle
When I chose my name, I was a big admirer of two actresses, Teri Hatcher and Teri Garr, the Anne came from a friend and I thought they were darling names!
