It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille

Hi Lucille! I chose my feminine name because of a song I have always enjoyed hearing, it’s “Sheri baby”! The music and script of this piece particularly appeals to me; for many reasons, one being, “Sheri baby, want you come out tonight, come come”! Notice the spelling is with an “S” instead of a “C”, I received a suggestion from a friend to spell my name “Cheri” with a “C” since it’s more relevant to my birth given name, “Charles”. Cheri is my name, and my wife really likes it also! Thank you for everything you do for us; I wish I could celebrate my feminine side more often and publicly, but I just don’t have the courage nor the beauty! Best! Cheri
My female name is Liz Russell. Elizabeth was my mother’s middle name, and I like the way Liz sounds. Russell is my first name but obviously can be a last name. I’m very comfortable with it.
Some years ago I went to a shop for a 4 hour change-away. I was dumfounded when the lady asked me what my femme name was? I gave the name of a girl I had fancied recently because I loved her clothes and shoe styles. I was never happy with it and changed it to another name of a girl I had a fling with because she was such a randy sexy thing. Then about 6 Years ago I looked at the way I liked to present myself and decided I was a classy tart – the name Charlotte seemed to be me and so here I am!
You are such a beautiful woman but you don’t look happy in the photo. I’ll bet a smile would enhance your beauty.
Love and kisses,
Barbara
