It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I went the lazy way. Only changed one letter from Wayne to Jayne.
I also always liked the name Jayne as I see a lot of very feminine women with the name .
Once on a long trip as I passed through a toll booth in Maryland, I noticed the tool collector and how beautiful she was. Her name on her ID was Roxanne. I had a lot of time to think about her and her name that by the end of my journey my new name became Roxanne and has been this for 20 years.
Rox…
Had to tell you how beautiful you are in your photo. The name definitely suits you. Great look, lady!!

Nice choice, I think it suits you
I was originally going to use Linda but my closest t-girlfriend could not help but call me “Lynn,” and so I took to it and never looked back. 🙂
Gorgeous and I think because of your look Lynn suits you better than Linda.
I thought long and hard about what name to use. I had a co-worker who I always thought was very feminine and very pretty. She always was a picturesque women with very lady like mannerisms and a glow of confidence about her.I very much wanted to be with her. Since I could not, I chose to remember her by using her name Stephanie
It was 2004 and I was at a wedding where the singer was a female whom I later found out her name was Mirella. To make a long story short I idolized her, her body, her style, her moves she was just perfect in every sense. Classy and beautiful hence I adopted her name.
My middle name is Francis; therefore, I use the feminized name of Frances.
hello girls
my male name was Franciscus , and family and friends called me frans
and after my srs still my name was franciscus , and i change it in to 2 name’s Ciska Franceska , mainly becourse my fam had still problems with franceska and kept on saying frans instead of franceska , placed the name Ciska first and second Franceska i like franceska becourse i had a Italiaan girlfriend hare name was Francesca with c , and i loved that name so i kept that and specially for my family i use Ciska and 89 % works and some still trying , but i dont care any more , thats my name change story , have a beautifull day girls
My given name is Eryk (polonised version of Eric), I didn’t like the sound of Erica – seemed a bit too coarse. So I started looking for a female name that would start with the same letter and in my surroundings there were many inspirational women who had the name Ewa (Eve). So it was the perfect fit. Soft and feminine and had the E sound which I like… Also somehow the numerology added up. So there I am.
