It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose Joanna because it sounds classy yet I am very naughty. Joanna Karen Martin
I chose Trisha Marie because Trisha is similar to my male first name that is never used. Marie, just because it sounded good, I think, with Trisha and my last name.
I chose Lisa because there were alot of Sarahs around and that was my second choice..
I chose my female name from one of my favorite female actresses Holly Marie Combs from Charmed………..you can call me Holly…
I chose my feminine name because one of the most feminine woman I had ever meet was named Diane. Elegant and graceful (all the things I am not, but desire to be).
When I was young I dressed but could not face up to being transgender. After fighting the desire too many years I final accepted it and began to transition. It cost me my marriage and a strained relationship with my family, but at last I am able to be the real me.
I chose Jodie because it is the first syllable of my given name combined with the first letter of my last name. I added the ‘Lynne’ to soften the overall sound.
I chose Lucy not in homage to the dear owner of this site, but it’s a name I’ve always liked, and apparently it’s one of the names my parents considered for me should I had been born genetically female anyway 🙂
I chose “Marilyn” because of my infatuation with Marilyn Monroe . . . and appreciation for her feminine ways and mannerisms . . . I’ll never change my name and just love the message I send by using her name. . . I wish I looked more like her and feel that some of my photos appear to mimic “Marilyn” in looks and actions . . .
