It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
Even though I’ve yet to dress up, I choose Yanira from a very young age. I knew a girl whose name was Yanira and I fell in love with the name since. I just felt like a Yanira. 🙂
One night many years ago we were watching Miss America Pagent, and the
girl from Texas was a knockout. She had long blond hair in a flip (my favorite ),
and her name was Desiree` and Desiree was born.
I just adore it.
Desiree
My given name is Michael I have never really liked it so I go by Mike. However Michael has grown on me over the years but still never felt right for me so I have some Russian in my heritage so I have adopted Mikayla which is the Russian female equivalent of Michail or Michael. It is not the traditional spelling but I like that better it is more unique like me.
Hello beautiful ladies, I am over 55 and never thought of a name until I came out to my girlfriend and younger son. For the pat few years I been using Megan. Why Megan, it is sort and I think is simple. I dress younger than my age. Thank God I don’t have wrinkles, so I feel Megan is a younger persons name. I am over 6-0 feet tall and dress as you can see with a big cup size. I feel Megan is someone sexy, and smart. I have a PhD in science so that to the reason why I chose Megan. Thanks for reading, my transformation will be complete the day I could feel my breast and hops inside my skin. You are all adorable. Many of your comments and looks encourage me to forfill my real self. Love you all.
My given name was Andrew which I have always hated so I stuck with Andy. When I was 16 I started dressing sissy androgynous and sneaking out to the Shed in San Francisco to dance all night with my sisters. The first night I went there a cute boy asked my name and I said Andrea. It still remains Andrea almost 40 years later.
Mine is kind of vain and simple I guess I am just WILD about Pamela Anderson, just the ” vixen look” caught my eye…..so it’s Pam or Pamela either will suffice…….
Choosing a name was a Process for me. I literally went through the alphabet and wrote every feminine name I liked. Then I would look in a mirror and say “Hello my name is …..” with each name. If I liked how it sounded I kept it worked my list down to my top 5. Then continued the process some more I would use the name throughout the day. Lexi just stood out the most everytime I would say it, it just felt right and ultimately was the name that fit.
Lexi…

Being a California girl, Summer has always been my favorite time of the year. Im always at the beach during Summer months soaking up the sun (carefully) by day and hanging out with good friends by my night. So much of what the season is about fits me. So that’s why my name is Summer.
