It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
The name Melissa just came to me, and felt right , like it was meant for me. Bryanna is the female version of my male name , and that felt right to me as well , theres not many first names that have a female version , and feel like the right to do do as well out of respect for my family.

Jenni comes from my favorite character from the movie “Forrest Gump”. I loved her from the start and even though it was a movie, her memory will live on in my name.
I took “Suzanne” as this was the name of a gorgeous girl in high school for whom I had a huge unrequited crush and for whom I intensely admired the stylish way she dressed. She was always well put together and this is what I strive for presenting as a woman.
I forgot to add my picture. It’s on the back of “The Red Bitch’s Revenge”
Well, my name is composed with the name of an aunt that take care of me when I was 7, before she married, and the name that my parents had chosed for me in the case that I birth like a girl. Both names have a strong significance for me
I started going as ‘Ruby’ as that seemed like the logical female version of my legal birthname. But apparently the female mind doesnt use logic to sovle everything. So i started going as ‘Heather’ now, just because i really liked that 80s movie “Heathers”.
I was named after a car, first time a friend saw me dressed he jokingly said ” Cor Tina” ( he is a classic car buff ) and it just seemed to fit and has been me ever since
