It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
A tomgirl I knew growing up, Had this sort of male/female vibe around her. I related and took on her name.
I knew a girl in school named Suzy and she was the epitome of femininity. So I just went with that name and it stuck. I’m 72 and it’s fun when all my friends now refer to me as Suzy! Here I am today at the mall. I was tryin swim suits with a couple of girl friends!
It was my great aunts name, Nelly was a legend of a lady.
My mother gifted me the christian name of Matthew, I was almost named Nathan. If you disect the 2 names Athena is born. I’ve always been attracted to amazon women and goddesses from mythology. Athena is the goddess os STRENGTH, COURAGE, & INSPIRATION. Im 6’7 without heels. Endured many tragedies from high school shooting survivor and Mother’s day church massacre where my stepmother was murdered. Athena helps me escape the life of Matthew and gives me the courage and strength to overcome gun violence so I can be an inspiration to others. A good shepherd embraces all the beliefs of his flock.
My given name was Chris, and the girl that helped me with my makeup the first time dubbed me Chrissy. It stuck.
My male name is Jim. There is a nice, pretty lady at work that we email each other often, her name is Kim. I occasionally sign my email to her as Kim, she would think I made a typo, as J&K are next to each other on the keyboard. So have been using Kim as my female name, actually like Kimberly better, sounds more feminine.
Kimberly.
I started out as FIFE.
IT never really took, so I started exoerimenting wit my first name making it more feminine, that didn’t work. then one day i heard a mother calling her daughter Isabella I hit me that was me, changed the spelling a little and became ISIBELLA.
I wanted to keep my original initials and I’ve been kicking around different names that start with C. Right now, I’ve settled on Chloe. It may not stick. But it works for now.
