It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I used a few other names in the past, one of which was ‘Michelle’. I used that name the longest before this one. Many people got to know me by that name, friends, neighbors and even my online internet radio audience! But there were too many ‘Michelle’ people around me and it was getting confusing. I decided to choose a name that was easier to spell and pronounce. I did some name searches online and found ‘Meran’ used a lot in Scandinavia regions as well as the Middle East by both male and female. It rhymes with ‘Karen’, not so hard, was it? My last name I chose from surnames I found in Ireland. In a nutshell, I wanted a complete name that had nothing to do with my birth name, I wanted to be completely ‘unknown’.
I actually copied the name from the daughter of a family that I befriended years ago when I first came to live in Costa Rica. She was so feminine and charming she seemed just what I had always wanted to be.
My name I have chosen after it was recommended to me by a Mistress at femphone.com.
I picked Winter as it represents the cleansing of the old making room for the new growth in nature and in life. This to me is what I choose to do so I can begin anew
Mine name was easy by going with the French version of Michael.

Just like my name the way it is !
And such a nice name it is for such a pretty girl!!
I chose Allyssa because my very first childhood friend was named Melyssa. We were close all through school and she helped me be more confident in myself and who I was truly suppose to be, a woman. I chose Allyssa because my birth name is Andy and I wanted a name that started with an A but be similar to hers. She has been such a blessing to me.
l always loved the name lisa even going back when i was a young girl it sounded so feminine so now i am lisa for life
