It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I need a sponsers for my surgery male to female. +27 076 1330 502 thank you Keri.
My first name comes from Pepper Potts, the assistant to Tony Stark in the Iron Man movies. My last name comes from Sophia Loren, possibly the most magnificent woman ever to grace our planet.
As a young boy my mom dressed me as a girl and called me Billie. I became Billy and then Bill and now my feminine persona is once again Billie and I am a woman.
One of my female ideals is Vanessa Redgrave. I like her very much since Mission Impossible. A great actrice and an amazing woman. Therefore I had no doubt which name to chose. My 2nd name ist Alexandra (better: Alex). It`s for all the people who accompany my way from male to female, and who know me for a long time.
I chose my name from the Celebrity cook on television. I also wanted a name far from my male name. As for my last name I spelled hers a little different and I pronounce it rays making the z silent. In my early years I used the female version of my male name. When I finally decided to start going out after being closeted for so many years is when I changed my name.
Hiii my name Peta-Jane is just a take on my male name. I just like the sound of it.
I once had a Doctor whose name was Stacie, and I have several friends who have different spellings of that name. I just put all the different spellings onto slips of paper, put them into a bowl, and just picked one.
Simple solution. All the names beginning with letter of my “birth” name has already been used by relatives on both sides of parents family, so that really was not an option for me.
Parents said what my name would have been.
