Stepping out into the word as your female self can be incredibly empowering. It’s powerful validation for crossdressers and transgender women alike.
In this blog post, I want to dive into this topic and hear about your own experiences. How often do you present yourself as a woman in public?
Do you live as a woman full time? Do you crossdress regularly or on occasion? Or is the answer, sadly, “never”?
Please take my transgender / crossdressing survey and share your thoughts in the comments below!

I m a full time trans woman -I ve honestly never had any issues wearing high heels in fact prior to covid I used to be on dance floor till way into morning and can walk properly – always had lots of complements from gen woman asking how do you do it etc.The secret is making sure you buy shoes which actually fit you and avoid pointed toes which pinch your toes as well as following Lucille’s tips here and please avoid cheap chinese shoes from the internet- as the sizing is usually not reflective of your feet and quality is poor.I’ m way past 55 and still get alot of comments about my legs aided by heels of course.Yes girls they do make you feel sooo good

I try to get out as a woman when I can usually go for a drive or to the park, have been to a few different stores shopping as a woman, I still need to work on my confidence when dressed, I always feel nervous that someone will confront me or that I will run into someone I know
Started when I was eight I am now 58 I’m talking with a therapist for my first time this past Monday and every Monday that is my goal to be able to go out wish me luck
Love to go out wish I could more often
I went out in public for the first time on saturday
It was fun. I went to Victoria secret and tried on dresses
I’m not one to go away from the house very often. Most everything that I need to do or want to do is at home. I don’t drink and if I do, I do it at home. I still have clothes that I haven’t worn because there’s no place I want to go to wear it to. I’ll go grocery shopping and wear a t-shirt and shorts like I always do. I do a lot of work around the house. Clean, fix, build, take care of pets, the yard, paint and work on the car. I’m always trying to learn new things and develop new skills. I enjoy playing the guitar too. My evenings are usually spent exercising. I’m older than I appear. I did my running around when I was younger. I have traveled through out my life and now I’m content to relax in the comfort of home.
At first it was very nerve racking, but I take public transit now on a daily basis if I have to go out no matter what time of day, I go alone or with somebody, it depends on whether or not I am with somebody or alone, lol. I don’t give a flying F what people think, for the most part though, its all pleasant, Bus drivers give me longer transfers, incredibly gorgeous young men insist on giving me their seat on the bus, especially if I have lots of bags, But something I read a while back and its so true, “it all comes down to confidence”, its your body language, if your stuck in the head space that you look like a dude in a dress, then that is what they see, and maybe they do…if that s the case…I own it then, I am not ashamed of who I am or what I like, I basically have chosen to just not identify myself with a label,. I am “ME” and I do it very well, plus you know half these guy’s are just jealous anyway becuase we were in that spot before, afraid to be ourselves. I mean this is new for me, I’ve only been dressing up now on a serious levl for maybe 6 months and have has zero help from anybody other than what I’ve picked up from here, but no “in-person” help, the biggest struggle has been the make up, I really want to take that course but I just can’t afford it, I don’t really even have a home at the moment (long story), but as soon as I do get the extra money I am def, gonna take it. My make up def. has come a long way, and I still have lots of room for tons of improvement, lol, that is the one thing that takes me forever. My eye’s are my cjrrent trouble zone, Eye Shadow confuses the “you know what” outta me. Anyway guess I am getting a bit off toopic here. Anyway Feeling Frozen but Fabulous here in Edmonton, Canada. High today was a balmy -38 Celcius with Windchill.
Much Luv,
Kristi
