Do you think it’s important to “pass” as a woman? Many crossdressers and transgender women wrestle with this question.
Is passing really something worth striving for?
I’ve shared my thoughts on this topic in this blog post. (Spoiler: I don’t think it matters!)
But now, I want to hear from you:
Do you care about passing as a woman, or are you proud to embrace your identity as a confident and classy crossdresser or transgender woman?
Take my “Passing Poll” and share your thoughts in the comments!
Love,
Lucille
I’d want to be passible if only to be more willing to start a blog and self preservation due to homo or transphobia.
Yes I try to become as passable as possible. Over the last 10 years I have watched and studied what women of my age wear their hair styles and makeup,so when I go into town I just look like other women my age and just blend in.
Questions: Answer is, ‘all of the above’. I love to be recognized for the female I’ve chosen to express as and learn through for the rest of my life. I still present as the male I was once a week because I was specifically asked to as a “senior male”. She is the most interesting, joyous, total expression of me I’ve ever experienced. I owe Lucille much for her loving sharing and helpfulness. Thanks , Blessings and Love, Joni
When I become a woman, my wish is that people on the street see me as a normal woman.
An anecdote that made me happy was one night when I left the theatre in Downtown Mexico City I went to a restaurant for dinner. When I was over, I went to the checkout counter to pay for my dinner. The cashier man asked me how was going to pay, and I answered that with a credit card and handed it to him. About three minutes cashier couldn’t make the payment, so he left and returned accompanied by a woman who was its boss. The woman boss looked me in the eye and said good night lady, allow me a moment, I’ll charge you for your dinner right away. Then the boss saw my card and surely read my male name, then she turned to see me and put on a huge smile, she turned her eyes towards my card and solved the problem of the charge on my account, she took charge of charging me instead of the cashier. When she finished charging me, she handed me my card, I thanked her and she answered me to serve her. She said thank you and added: You are a very beautiful lady, I responded with many thanks and expressed a big smile. As I walked to the stairs, I saw the boss looking at me and nodding her head affirmatively. This makes me feel more confident in myself, and I enjoy being a woman for that day.
Excuse my English language, it’s not good.
Your English is fine and I’m so pleased to hear you had such a positive experience. We hear a lot about South America not being tolerant or accepting, so this is really lovely to hear.
Of course I want to look as Ladylike as possible Kimbey
I always like to look my best Female Self whenever I go out enfemme, I always have a Professional Makeover and just want to look like The Girl Next Door
Oh! Thank you for the tips.
I just try to be myself. I don’t wear much makeup, as is. I certainly don’t care if I pass, or not. I’m trying to learn how talk, like a Female. Matching my voice, with my soul. I want it to shine free. However, outside of that, I’m very happy about being my birth gender. I’m a Straight Guy, who wears certainly female items, but that’s it. I wear most masculine clothing. As you see, I wear Shirt, and Shorts. I have short hair, with nothing on my face. I love it, that way too. To be honest with you, I don’t care if my face is dirty. I do care however, if my Hands are dirty. I always wash my hands, and love them to be clean. I wear Nail Polish, after I wash my Hands.
I only care about passing if im crossdressed, according to my family I pass perfectly but sometimes I feel like I don’t pass. I like to be on boy mode and sometimes on girl mode.
