Planning to step out en femme? Don’t forget your bag! More than just a stylish accessory, your purse is a toolbox for your female self.
While a cluttered bag isn’t chic, there are some essentials you shouldn’t be without. You never know what life will throw at you – and a lady is always prepared!
In this blog post, I share 15 transgender / crossdressing items to keep in your purse when you are on the go.
1. Cell phone
Needless to say, you should never leave home without your phone. Besides, you never know when the perfect selfie opportunity will arise!
2. Lip Gloss or Lipstick
A moisturizing lip gloss or lipstick in your favorite shade is a female essential.
3. Mints or Gum
Freshen your breath on the go by keeping a stash of mints or gum on hand.
4. Nail File
There’s nothing more annoying than a broken nail, so throw one of these babies into your bag.
5. $20 Cash
Even though most of us rely on credit or debit cards, you never know when you might need some cash.
6. Hand Cream
Keep your hands feeling soft and feminine with a tube of hand cream.
7. Blotting Paper or Powder
Reduce shine on the go with blotting paper or pressed powder.
8. Bobby Pins
These come in handy if you need to secure your wig or tame some loose strands of hair.
9. Compact Mirror
A must-have for checking your teeth or makeup.
10. Stain Removal Pen
The sooner you treat an unexpected stain, the less likely it is to be permanent.
11. Band-Aids
Not just for cuts and scrapes, a Band-Aid can relieve blisters caused by new shoes.
12. Safety Pins
Those can be a lifesaver if you break a strap or pop a button.
13. Emergency Info
Not to be a downer, but if anything should happen, this could literally save your life.
14. Advil or Tylenol
Keep a couple painkillers on hand in case you get a surprise headache.
15. Healthy Snack
Hunger can sneak up on you, so keep a healthy snack bar or some nuts in your bag.

Dearest Ms.Lucille,
As always your tips are priceless. One thing I always carry in my purse is a spare pair of stockings or pantyhose. I carry them because I wear them constantly and a girl may get a run in her silkies at anytime and that’s one thing a girl should never be seen with.Thankyou so much! Until next time,OXOX Femforever, Michelle.
What a useful blog. While I love carrying my purse anytime I am out, I am an inveterate shopper for all things girly. I really dislike carrying cash so there are several credit cards this girl always carries. Today I could not resist another pretty pair of heels and had a splendid time trying on shoes; finally picking a pair of black kid pumps with 4″ heels. What girl can ever have enough heels? I wasn’t finished and bought several seasonal tops. As you can see, $20 cash would have been scant help.
Lucille, you have become so important in my journey to total femininity and I send you my love for past, present and future helpful and supportive advice. Never say “never” but I shall never want to return to my male life.
My deep, feminine love, Liz ❤️
Instead of digging around trying to feel for and locate items in a bag – maybe can get a bag insert which functions as a bag organizer – more convenience to access items faster – just an idea. Always seeing women digging in and taking relative longer times to find things when they need quick access.
I love my Elliot Lucca bag. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on it…very roomy. Deep in the recesses of it there is a small tissue with some baby aspirin enfolded. At my age (67) you never know when stroke/attack could occur and aspirin breaks blood clots very rapidly and may save your life. Also good for a headache that could be bothersome at inopportune times. Thanks for all your wonderful tips Lucille.
