Planning to step out en femme? Don’t forget your handbag! More than just a stylish accessory, your purse is a toolbox for your female self.
While a cluttered bag isn’t chic, there are some essentials you shouldn’t be without. You never know what life will throw at you – and a lady is always prepared!
In this blog post, I share 15 transgender / crossdressing items to keep in your purse when you are on the go.
1. Cell phone
Needless to say, you should never leave home without your phone. Besides, you never know when the perfect selfie opportunity will arise!
2. Lip Gloss or Lipstick
A moisturizing lip gloss or lipstick in your favorite shade is a female essential.
3. Mints or Gum
Freshen your breath on the go by keeping a stash of mints or gum on hand.
4. Nail File
There’s nothing more annoying than a broken nail, so throw one of these babies into your bag.
5. $20 Cash
Even though most of us rely on credit or debit cards, you never know when you might need some cash.
6. Hand Cream
Keep your hands feeling soft and feminine with a tube of hand cream.
7. Blotting Paper or Powder
Reduce shine on the go with blotting paper or pressed powder.
8. Bobby Pins
These come in handy if you need to secure your wig or tame some loose strands of hair.
9. Compact Mirror
A must-have for checking your teeth or makeup.
10. Stain Removal Pen
The sooner you treat an unexpected stain, the less likely it is to be permanent.
11. Band-Aids
Not just for cuts and scrapes, a Band-Aid can relieve blisters caused by new shoes.
12. Safety Pins
Those can be a lifesaver if you break a strap or pop a button.
13. Emergency Info
Not to be a downer, but if anything should happen, this could literally save your life.
14. Advil or Tylenol
Keep a couple painkillers on hand in case you get a surprise headache.
15. Healthy Snack
Hunger can sneak up on you, so keep a healthy snack bar or some nuts in your bag.

My it sounds dangerous living in the USA. In my handbag I carry my purse, which is where I have my money and cards. I usually have a small folding shopping bag, invaluable these days for those surprise purchases as we pay for plastic bags this side of the Atlantic. I always have some lippy and a compact with powder and a brush to apply it. A folding hairbrush is useful as are tissues and wet wipes. The mobile is an essential. I usually have some indigestion tablets and very often my testing meter and insulin pen if I’m going to eat out. An emery board will be there for nail emergencies and a pen and small notepad in case I need to write a note. A friend of mine always carries a spare wig in case the wind gets up. Love your site.
Pepper spray/rape whistle………….
I dont think you need to worry.
It may sound crass, but as a concealed weapon permit holder, having a place for a firearm, or other means of self defense , is something I will never leave home without, in construction work gear, or pumps and heels. Honestly, leaving with a lifesaver in my purse , was one of the “pro’s”, that enabled me to leave my house as Kit.
Yes a gun is a must have. You never know, when some stupid hater thats more than a littel inbred, will try something evil, im a dam good shot. Good luck hillbillies
A little flashlight to help find stuff in rooms that aren’t really bright,, quarters for parking meters (I’d much rather carry a couple dozen of them than pay a large parking fine for not putting money into a meter, a large comb which can be used for self defense, a mouth piece in case I run into gay bashers because a toothless trans girl isn’t all that exciting and a small can of hair spray to help keep my hair in order (because I don’t need to wear wigs) and also to spray into an assailant’s eyes or mouth should I encounter one.
Love it GF
Leatherman and $20, both wonderful.
As an older woman a panty liner just is not enough, so i also carry a full pad or two. i hate it when i canot not find a descent public restroom, or when i bend over to pick up car keys and feel a surprise trickle through my panties.
theresa
I usually have a pantiliner in my purse as well. They work well in the event of a more serious cut or scrape to stop bleeding.
In my purse I carry my female picture ID (fake NV DL), lipstick, small bottle of perfume (Giorgio), some spare makeup, pepper spray, breath mints, keys, credit cards under female name, pink cell phone, small bottle of Midol and every woman should have a couple of tampons in her purse. One tampon the applicator is empty and emergency cash is rolled up for a taxi if needed and reseal the wrapper and if someone tries to steal your money they don’t think to look inside of a tampon applicator. I have also at times carried a couple of condoms and a small tube of KY just in case I happen to meet and interesting man
Pretty much the same thing in my purse along with some cash and an old drivers license for id and a small bottle of hair spray. It sometime amazes me how much more I carry when identifying as a woman vs a man.
Julie
I only wish that I could look as good as you do
You have a great looking body
Especially your long legs
Janine, I don’t think that’s an actual picture of Julie_Lisa, it appears to be a web photo that was saved and sent.
small multi tool (leatherman), three dollars in quarters (exact amount for a long distance call at a pay phone) and a small tube of superglue (darn tip of heel keeps falling off)
