A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.
FSJ Shoes
FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!
Zappos
Being the largest online shoe shop, it should come as no surprise that Zappos offers a wide range of shoes for women with big feet. Zappos also has a generous one-year return policy that includes free return shipping.
Amazon
Amazon has a surprising large selection of women’s shoes up to size 16, including pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and more. As an added bonus, many items are eligible for Prime delivery and free returns.
Payless
Who doesn’t love a good deal? While Payless only offers women’s shoes up to a size 13, they are a great option for affordable footwear if your feet are on the smaller side.
Ebay
Let’s not forget about good old eBay! Ebay has a huge selection of transgender and crossdressing shoes at some incredible bargains. The best part is that you can search for women’s shoes up to a size 19!

Here in the United States, I have found the Nordstrom Rack and the Nordstrom department stores to be a great source. I have shopped there both in drab and enFemme with absolutely no issues. The store prides itself on the range of shoe sizes it carries. This comes as no surprise as it’s roots are traced back to a gold miner that used his earnings to open a women’s shoe store in Seattle.
For being a tall girl I have fairly average size feet and wear an 11. It’s easy to find that size practically anywhere. Recently I got a nice pair of running/walking shoes and another pair of adorable canvas floral flats from a major big box retailer, that cost less than $20 for both pairs. But I wonder if some poor kid in China was forced to make them.
About four years ago, I was in a photo shoot and wore lucite heels with a fresh French pedicure. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Shoes….they have always been my fascination. My cross-dressing actually started from there – bottom up! Mum couldn’t leave a pair of high-heels I did not jump on and wore! As my shoe size is 8 (UK sizes) I have never had problems buying shoes from shops and sites selling women’s shoes. I think this makes for a good feature in your popular site, Lucille.
As much as I love shoes, I would go broke buying from alot of these companys. Most of the shoes I buy come from Payless. They carry womens sizes up to a 14. Depending on the shoe, I wear a size 13 or 12W. I do however occassionly buy eslewhere when I see a shoe I like, but that when I gotta have it shoe! I use to buy alot from Fredricks when they use to sell size 12, but they only carry up to size 11 now. Anyway, if you buy alot, payless has a great selection and they run BOGO which your 2nd pair is half off.
Beautiful photo

I wore my Mom’s 5s back in the 60’s…grew out of those by 8th grade….I wore 9s for yrs. As time passes, your feet Do elongate , especially after child birth ( hormones and weight).
