Expressing your feminine side is about much more than just clothes and makeup. After all, women are a little more complex than that!
That’s why I wanted to go beyond the obvious and explore some unexpected strategies to help you enhance your feminine expression.
In this blog post for crossdressers and transgender women, I share 3 unexpected ways to be more feminine. Read on to learn more!
1. Buy a New Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine. While it’s great to have a signature scent, sometimes it helps to switch things up and discover new perfumes to bring out your inner woman.
Here are some suggestions to match your desired vibe:
- Floral scents: Embrace your soft, romantic side with the allure of flowers.
- Fresh or fruity scents: Boost your confidence and energy levels with invigorating notes.
- Woody or oriental scents: Unleash your inner seductress with warm, captivating fragrances.

2. Be More Polite
Did you know that politeness plays a significant role in enhancing your feminine image?
Countless studies have shown that women tend to excel in the realm of manners, and adopting these social graces can truly elevate your femininity.
Here are three suggestions to keep in mind:
- Embrace the power of “please” and “thank you” – These little words hold huge power in conveying respect and gratitude. Remember to use them often in your daily interactions.
- Soften your language – For example, instead of bluntly saying “I can’t hear you,” opt for a more gentle approach like, “I’m sorry, I can’t quite hear you.” This subtle shift demonstrates empathy and consideration.
- Mind your online presence – Politeness shouldn’t be limited to face-to-face encounters. It’s equally important to be polite when texting, emailing, or engaging in online discussions.
3. Loosen Up
If you’re looking for an instant way to enhance your feminine image, here’s a simple secret: loosen up! This applies to both your body and your mind, and it can work wonders in unleashing your true feminine grace.
First, let’s focus on loosening up your body:
Women naturally possess a graceful, limber quality. If your body feels tense and tight, it can manifest in stiff, jerky movements that lack femininity. Here’s how you can loosen up:
- Consciously relax your body, especially your jaw and shoulders.
- Stretch your muscles on a daily basis.
- Take lots of deep, relaxing breaths.
These simple body-loosening techniques can do more to feminize your movements than all the hip shaking in the world!
Now, let’s shift our focus to loosening up your mind:
The happiest crossdressers and transgender women I know don’t get hung up on “passing” or trying to please everybody. Instead, they embrace who they are while constantly striving to improve themselves.
Life is short, so above all, relax and enjoy the journey!

Right on Lucille. Whenever I am out “en femme” I always remind myself to smile. While driving I tend to check the rear view mirror a lot and practice then as well. The leaning back I think is phenomenal advice. Also a good metaphor for approaching life, as you mention. Thanks again!
I love dressing as a woman ,when i first wore heels i managed to walk because i kept my body straight and found that was easier to walk in a lady like fashion.
I completely agree, Lucy. I’m the same way. I love dressing like a woman. And when I walk in high heels, it makes me stand up straighter and walk more slowly, which brings out my femininity so much.
Keep walking, girl!
What wonderful tips Lucille. I have another way of feeling more feminine anytime, anywhere, and no one will be aware you are connecting with your feminine center.
It’s really simple. You ready?
Slow down. That’s it. Just move more slowly. Slower movements add grace and beauty to the movements you make. Two key qualities in my list of things that make one feminine.
If you only have ten minutes to dress, instead of pulling your things out of your closet and hurridly putting them on to stand in front of the mirror, get a pair of stockings and take the entire 10 minutes to put the stockings on. Slowly. Gracefully. Sit in a chair and align yourself so all you can see in the mirror is your legs.
Do it and you’ll see what I mean.
And remember, at anytime you can move more slowly. And each time you do this you condition yourself to enjoy the feminine sensations moving more slowly creates.
Oooh, Serena,
I love the picture. Girl you must tell me more about it. Very hot.
Makes me want to get all dressed up and find someone like that. hehe.
hi lucille! thank you soooo much for all the great support and products you provide:) i just love you:)
i wanted to share three little feminine secrets i use:)
1. get skinny:) even if you’re tall, being thin is the only answer. let’s face it… we are all going to be on diets the rest of our lives… get serious about it and make it work for you:)
2. think little:) keep those elbows in and knees together all the time. wherever you are, snug yourself together. sitting on a couch? pull your legs up and slide them coyly to the side:)
3. perfect your posture! here is an awesome tip… i sit on an exercise ball all day at work. this forces my mid-section to tighten for a trim waist, AND it puts that cute arch in my back. my posture is awesome and i hardly have to think about it. it takes about 2 weeks to get used to sitting on the ball, but now its easy and comfy:) give it a try:)
smiling helps with my face allot I have noticed this last yeas seance I started HRT Nov 20th will be one year. One on the biggest way that helps me feel more feminine is wearing the right bra wearing the wrong one may not be the support you need or more so make them look smaller then they actually are like some strapless bras even with the straps on dues that I have one that dues but I stopped using because of that. Good posture helps to makes everything like your shoulders smaller and helps your breasts to look bigger to and make you look taller skinnier up to a point and the most important thing keeping clean and smelling good with perfume and scented body butter makes your skin look younger and softer nothing is unattractive as ruff skin when someone touches your arms and what not. The way I sit on the couch with my legs up in feet towards my tush I’m not sure what name of the siting position or pose is called I cant remember it another way is feminine hair styles well this is some of the ways I do to feel more feminine then I do.
some music for you and smile please.

HI LUCILLE! Like most of your clients I’m a woman trapped in a man’s body. I have managed to walk in high heels, still working on my shoulders back when I walk and practice my smile. however I dont seem to be able to devellop the feminine breast I want whithout surgery. I have been taking the cream, liquid and pills you suggested and massage but it does not seem to do much at all. does anyone have additional suggestion. now how did I become feminine, I dont really know other then I love the feeling of silk against my body and romantically I think like a woman. I hope you can help me along. BEST REGARDS CHELSY.
great advice as always
I am old, now, but when I first came out I already had graceful, feminine hands. I took good care if them and particularly loved having a pretty feminine manicure. I kept the nails oval shaped with about 1/4 or 1/3 in. free edge and used the brightest, most cheerful colors that were popular for the particular season. I liked to gracefully use my hands a lot with open palms and spread fingers, and often caught men peeking happily at them. My pretty, feminine hands were very believable and gave me great emotional and psychic joy in being me. And, oh, I just love reading your advice and all the comments. Love, Melanie
