If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.

How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!
How do YOU stay connected to your feminine self? I’d love to know, so please share in the comments below!

I love to wearing feminine clothing under my regular clothes and i painted my nails but only in left hand. today i wear black net designer bra n panti, blue designer ladies jeans (lawwaiste) and boot. though no body knows that i m going to become a complete female and i m not getting support from my family and freinds.
I almost always wear a bra under my clothes and now I don’t even try to hide the obvious. I am on hormones and know that eventually it won’t matter anyway. For the past several years, I have had salon nails. The past year I have had french tips and yes I get some comments, but I really don’t care. My sons may suspect, but they never mention my nails. Life is so more fun when you can be yourself!!
I forgot to include my pic for the response I just submitted. It is attached hereto
Hi Holly you look very cute Jamie
I started doing something I share with friends all the time that has worked wonders for me and has made my transition that much easier. The fact that it is so easy to do makes it even better for me. Its a real simple formula that has saved my sanity
Everything I purchase for every day use in every imaginable category of life I purchase the woman’s version or a femme design or the color pink (in various shades).
Think about it for a moment. I have a woman’s shaver and use woman’s shaving lotion. I use a brand of soap that is primarily marketed to women. I buy Kleenex just like we all do but I look for the boxes where pink is the predominate color. When I buy other toiletries I buy a woman’s brand. Paper Towels…I go for a trim design that is flowery and has pink it it somewhere. The case for my cell phone is a dark fuchsia color which is more femme than the standard off the rack black cover. My briefcase is a woman’s brown leather brief case…my laptop sleeve is a light purple…I use a pink pen I purchased to support breast cancer in women…my dishes I use every day have a pink flower pattern. My web home page has a pink, femme theme. Each time I open my email I use the colors pink in various shades.
You will be surprised at how many aspects of your daily living can be so easily adapted to help you accept and visualize your femme self.
Doing this has worked wonders for me over the last few years serving as a constant reminder of who I am and who I will continue to become.
Sounds like a great way to go out.I’ve tried the perfume and it does make me feel like the woman I am.I look good in my wifes sweaters to.Thanks again,Camile
I ALWAYS am ‘girly’ 24/7!!! it is natural for me!!
It is so me-dressing, looking, BEING a girl & I so LOVE TO!!!
It’s the only time I feel like the real me_as a girl!!!
Hi Lucille,
Thanks for the great ideas! Here are some things I do to become more of the woman I am inside. I keep my femme fotos handy and even give some away to supportive people. I listen to your awesome hypnosis session frequently to program my subconscious mind to increase my feminine feelings. I attend a Transgender group. I use my femme name as often as possible. I am looking into Hula dancing, Belly dancing and dance requiring partners to learn the female part. I wear a perfume called, Max Attraction Silk, for attracting men. I watch drag queen make-over videos on utube to learn. I hang out with friends who encourage, “egg me on” and even demand my feminization. I am looking for tips on how to attract men if you have any.
Love
Puta Marica
Besides the panties every day, often i will wear fitting shirts so i can wear a bra under it. Plus as you say its all about scents. I use shampoo and cleaners with very feminine fragrances. No one at work seems to question it but even if they did i don’t care any more
