If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.
Try it for yourself by signing up for my free Unleash Your Inner Woman hypnosis mini-session here.
How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!
How do YOU stay connected to your feminine self? I’d love to know, so please share in the comments below!

Lucille

Hi Lucille,
Just printed off ‘5 Essential Secrets To Growing Male Breasts.’ Even though I am only a couple of weeks away from my Reassignment Surgery I still cherish your Girly Advice. I already have a copy of your ‘Flat 2 Fem Breast Enlargement Program.’
Before I started on the Gender Reassignmrnt Program I would stand either naked or wearing bra and panties in front of a mirror and look for parts which were not particularly feminine and work on correcting those, (such as body hair, stance and my hair, trying to picture which type of wig to buy.) Later as the Program advanced I kept a Photographic Record of my female development. These are all in an Album which I have titled ‘My Journey into Womanhood.’ As the journey progressed I put some of the Photos into frames and kept them on my dressing table. Later I put photos in he lounge. I did this the Re-Enforce the Program and my own Femininity.
I have worn Feminine underwear for years, but what has caught my attention in ‘How To Be Girly 24 Hours a Day’ is exactly what I used to do. I would buy Ladies Trouser Suits, Jeans, T-Shirts, Silk Shirts which looked more Unisex than Female. I did it this way so that when I went ‘En Femme’ more often I could gradually add more Feminine garments and accessories and thus make the transition into a woman much less abrupt and therefore less noticable. Fixing the Outside is relatively easy, projecting the woman inside is the hard part.
It is this part where your avice is absolutely INVALUABLE. All my Doctors/Nurses/Phsychiatrists prescribed all the Sugar And Spice, but your advice has brought out the woman in me.
Thankyou Very Much,
Lots of Love,
Helen.

Really ladies all this worry and concern over what people can or cannot see of your femme side is pointless speculation over nightmare scenarios that will never happen. The reality is that better than 99.9% of the American public today could hardly care less what you are or what your wearing. It’s like the old Scottsman said to his daughter, “Aye lassie. You wouldn’t worry what people are thinkin’ about ya if you knew how little they did.” I’m very grateful for their indifference and take advantage of it to do what I want. So consider getting scientific about it and testing the water in real life rather than just theorizing about it. The people who see your a man wearing some measure of feminine stuff simply think, “Oh. Another one of them.” so your catagorized then promptly dismissed from their minds. They don’t care so why do you care? Forget about it. Go have some fun.
And by the way I’ve done plenty of on the sly stuff but I’ve also done some really obvious and blatant stuff both at work and in public so I know what I’m talking about. Most don’t care and some are very nice. Wear any perfume you like. No one will say boo about it or even notice. I wear Shalimar all the time.
Thanks for bringing the subject up Lucille. :)<<
I love wearing pantyhose and bodysuits under my male clothes. They feel so good and make me feel so feminine.
Jennifer those pantyhose look great on you
Hi, Lucillle, thanks for the great tips! I’ve been very secretive about my girl side so they will come in very handy, Up to now I’ve done only the following; wearing panties under my men’s clothes whenever I can; combing my hair backwards (I use it longish) and leaving it free to flow…
I am basically approaching female mode on a daily basis, 24/7. I wear lingerie daily and also do the other clothing tricks you have mentioned. I do use floral (female scents as you suggested as well as scented candles at home, and sachets in my lingerie drawers I will be retiring shortly and then will be full time and on my RLE that is required
Hi girls. I’m dressed all the day with with lingerie and nylon socks under undere my Victoria Secret’s skinny jeans and a pair of woman polo boots as you can see in the photos, on or below the jeans. I use woman sheets under unisex sweaters and cardigans. Also have an unisex bag but really it was purchased as woman bag. Also I make a very slow make up mostly at afternoon..and I recommend to all girls to use the fragances from Armani Aqua Di Gio (green label) because is very unisex. The same perfum for mens is a little less sweet.
In this way I feel very very good and femenine. I can tell you all it’s very important to go to shopping dressed in androgine way, trying all the clothes and shoes you can..and you will feel as a divine woman !!…however all the people around of you will not see the difference.
Sorry for my bad english because I live in Uruguay.
Kisses for all of you girls !
Hi, Lucille
I am not fulltime, but own a small flat about an hour from home by underground and streetcar. When I dress, I am perfect enough to go out shopping, to the movies, even to the theater. The only problem is that I am getting older with lots of wrinkles in my face. But considering that I am 70, I cannot complain too much.
I have ordered your breast program. It seemed to work quite well, especially the massage. When I had some pain in the kidney area, I stopped taking the capsules. But I really don’t know whether the pain came from it. Anyway, I fasted for 10 days (no solid food, just drinking), and am feeling fine again. The fasting has caused a weight loss of 3 kg which has a very good effect on my waistline.
Anyway, keep the good work going and if you have any friends from Vienna, please let me know.
Best Wishes
Erika
