When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
hello Lucille. usually i dont like to label myself like that, not just with this but in many aspects of my life.if anything i would like to think unique or interesting as that’s what i see as well but if nothing else im just me.
I am not fond of labels because they can be misused to belittle others. I think we are all human beings, unique in our sexuality and preferences and worthy of respect from other human beings.
When asked what is the difference between a transvestite and a transexual, I answer by saying about 2 to 3 years.

I forgot to add, I LOVE your site!! thanks for your time and talent.
i am pure crossdresser and i feel that i m not a complete male nor a complete female and i feel happy if people call me transgender girl or hijra or eunuch. but not yet moved out as completely female but wear always bra pantie slips ladies jeans and top or shirt even in office too. but my aim to wear all type of female dress and enjoy the life. though our society in india they do not consider transgender girl as generic girl they treat such type of girl as eunuch or hijra so i m happy to become eunuch or hijra
The labeling system does not appear to work. I have considered myself a female, born in a wrong body for a long time. I do consider myself a female, not a crossdresser, trans sexual or otherwise. I am very comfortable with who I am and how I appear. So how do I label myself- FEMALE. I present myself as a woman and that is how I am treated.
I go by tranny. I used to hate that term because I felt it portrayed transexuals in a bad way. Now though I realy like it because Im proud of what I am. People can say that I am whatever they want to and I will use it to my advantage.
Just like some women will proudly clame to be a bich.
So to all my haters I say, yes I am a tranny just not your tranny.
I don’t care about labels. Crossdresser comes the closest I guess. I just like to feel good and be myself.
Hi Lucille – I am just like Pauletta -I am an 80 year old transvestite who loves wearing female underwear daily, and have been doing this for over 60 years and hope to be doing it for many more years!!
