When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
An interesting question with no generally right answer. I found feminine clothes a delight to feel against my body and also they gave me pleasure when I wore them. Not only in the view from the mirror ! I quite soon developed into a full cross dresser and found girl friends who were happy to go out and about anywhere with me en femme. My wife and other friends still do. I am , I believe , realistic and thus my label is fetishistic transvestite as it is the clothes and make up, etc. that give pleasure. Particularly ones that are showy. I see a girl displaying her charms and often try to copy her as exactly as possible. The image shows an example. For everyday usage I just call myself a T girl. Thank you for this helpful site.
How do I label myself? I don’t own a label-maker, and usually use Avery self-adhesive labels whenever I need a label. Of course, it’s always possible to just write something on a piece of masking tape to “label” something. But all seriousness aside, I consider myself to be a human being.
I don’t mind being called a crossdresser. It seems that people want to put everything into little boxes with very little tolerance about moving out of the box.

hell I am a male that prefers to took female so i guess that makes me a crossdresser
i love to go to clubs and sing at karaoke bar.
I like the lable t-girl. It applies to TV, TS and TG. It is the mind that drives the actions of being femme, or it is with me, anyway. It’s not about synthetic hormones, It’s not about implants, it’s how you feel about being a woman inside. The lable “t-girls” pulls us all together. I love being one.
I do not like putting labels on people. We are who we are
Definitely I see myself as a cross dresser, I’m out to about 30 of my friends, and I say that I am a crossdresser with pride and joy!
Hi Lucille,
This question needs a bit of background:
Let me begin by giving you the really, really, really good news. I have just been discharged from hospital where I have undergone complete Gender Reassignment Surgery. So I am now a WOMAN – Finally. The photo which I have attached was taken a couple of weeks ago, just before going to hospital in Thailand.
I have to say that by and large I do not go much by labels. I have always felt myself to be a girl/woman, but the exterior me did not match in interior me, so I tried to match up the two by avoiding the confusion of labels like ‘Crossdresser,’ ‘Transvestite’ or ‘Transsexual’ and labelled myself as a Woman. I would also like to label myself as Female as I do not and never have considered myself as Male.
Hugs & Kisses
Helen – One very happy Woman
