Choosing the right words to describe your gender identity can feel tricky. For transgender and non-binary people, finding a label that fits is personal and important.
Using respectful language matters. Outdated or offensive terms can hurt, so it’s okay to set boundaries about how others address you.
At the same time, you are more than a label. What matters most is how you choose to define yourself, no matter where you are on the gender spectrum.
Do you have a label that feels right – like crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary, or something else?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I am a transgender woman
I would identify myself as a crossdresser although I hate labelling.
It is true that there is too much ignorance out there.
I really struggle with this
I am totally a guy but I have always liked girls clothes
I work in construction and wear jeggings, it can be interesting at times
Being a man who likes wearing female clothes is SO frustrating!
I have resorted to seedy situations to dress and still be myself
Even though I was not born as a biological woman, I don’t identify as any of the above terms, I just identify as a woman. Works seamlessly for me. It’s simple, I find I don’t have to deal with all the stigma that’s sometimes attached with those terms, and people accept me as just that, a woman.
I am a Transgender Woman.
I’ve always loved to crossdress. It started at age 2. I’ve ended several friendships and two marriages for fear of being found out. My mom knew but it was never acknowledged or mentioned. I know I’m bi but I think I’m more straight than gay. Not a catagory for that. Lesbian trapped in a mans body??? If anyone has a label that fits lemme know.
Your just being you unfortunately it’s not easy
What’s your name?
That’s the title of what you are
Make it a great story
Hi Lucille.
The transgender umbrella is very broad. Human beings want to label everything, but labels should have no place in our world. They are gruesome. Life is never simple. People must be tolerant. I try to find mysel and it’s a constant movement. I love women’s clothes. I crossdress to feel good and explore my feminity.
Just live your life and disregard those who criticize you. I am myself and I always be.

I prefer “Woman”, but Transgender woman of the ones listed.
