When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!

i personaly hate labels.
theres enough biggots out there to label us girls already so why give them more bullets to fire.
i see my self as me , im happy being me and if people cant or dont understand that , they dont have to talk to me , simple
so for me labels mean nothing , you are who you are , love that and love yourself.

Although most of us seems to have adopted the “I am what I am” attitude. I still advocate a descriptive and neutral “label” as “drag queen” and “tansvestite” either conveys the wrong impression and/or carry to much baggage.
Justin Bond, a transgendered performer, went as far as adopting the Mx. vs. Mr/Ms. and V vs. I/it. (which I like).
I think we need to keep pushing the “transgendered” XX description, but we also need to lighten up a bit.
As many have shared here, self-acceptance is the first step to changing other people’s thinking of us.
If someone wants to hang a label on me,go right ahead. What I do know is when I’m a woman I’m the happiest woman in the world.Calm, peaceful, and always with a smile.I’m ever so thankful for my “Special” time.

Well since I barely started my transition.. I guess I’m just a passable transgendered crossdresser… but I’m scheduled for breast augmentation… I have a womans body a womans voice and a cute girly face from the get go.. guess I’m lucky their.. so after surgery I guess I would consider myself transexual… the words shemale and tranny can be offensive but I don’t mind calling my self a shemale or tranny… I’m slowly telling my family members 1 by 1 about every month I let a close friend or family member know.. so far I am still loved by them I have 1 more important person in my life too tell.. after that and after my current occupation is done with I am going full time because I will never be happy untill I feel and look like a woman…minus the package I can’t part with that I’ve gotten so used to it… anyways that’s my thoughts.. I don’t have a pic to upload but my handle is Emily28gothcandy on ts dating… I hope my thoughts help for the cause!! Chow!!! ~Emily
